Ok I have a really serious question!! I printed out some coupons at work and when I was cutting them (in a hurry) I accidentally cut 4 wrong… Cut off a part of left or right, etc. so I taped them up and put them on a page to make a copy, so i could throw away the torn ones… Well it wouldn’t let me. On both the color printer and bw printer it kept coming out completely black. I would copy something else and it would copy it correctly but just wouldn’t for the coupons :/ after trying like 10 times I gave up. Then I realized maybe they are coded somehow… And then it hit me, WHAT IF I GET IN TROUBLE??!!! Seriously I have been couponing since 2009 and I would never do something dishonest or use copies of coupons but I just didn’t want to hand over torn and taped coupons ( and cashiers not take them or give me a hard time)… Am I gonna get in trouble? Are the cops gonna be banging on my door? Is this gonna flag my IP address? I’m really worried now. 🙁
I wouldn’t use them, but I also don’t think the cops are gonna come for you. Lol I would have just taped them and tried to use them. I’ve never had a problem using taped ones my preschooler had cut out. She’s usually with me so I point to her and smile and they take the tattered coupons!
