You could Price Match the Tide at Wal-Mart if you have a smartphone and maybe Target will also.

I just did since they’re closer than HD. I had to take it to customer service for them to verify on their app. Not sure what that means, but after a short wait, they honored it.

For those asking about limited quantity, HD has done that with all of their One Day Deals. My store also said limited, but I called with the SKU this morning and they had 67. They want you to come in the store!

My home depot wouldn’t let me use the coupon since it was already on sale.
I couldn’t find a coupon policy that proved they did either.
FYI. Their 800# customer service stated that they won’t take mfg coupons for an item that is already on sale. If it isn’t on sale they will. Just didn’t want anyone else to be disappointed when they went to the store.

I was reading about this deal somewhere else and it had mixed opinions, mostly that it was thin and shouldn’t be used in high traffic area or areas that get wet. And they also said to factor in the underlayment. That being said, I was looking at the reviews on HD and they seem good!
I am interested as well, to replace my kitchen floor, so I am reading the HD reviews… but the 1 star ones make it sound like if it is not durable (scratches easy, warps). I may have to pass on this one…
Just did an entire room, half bath, and a closet with it. IT looks very nice, BUT you do have to hammer it together to make the seams tight. Not a simple click together floor. Even with that, I would use it again.
Michelle, thanks for letting us know! Did you use something under it? Did you have to have any extra tools (a saw?). Are you having issues with water or scratches? Are you experienced in laying floors (I am trying to figure out if it is something dh and I can do). Sorry for all the questions, but I am very interested in this floor at this price!

Got 4 this morning and used my $3 off coupons I had been saving up. They had many in stock this morning. At first, the cashier questioned a manager about being able to use the coupons since they were on sale, but she said yes.
UGH! my local HD would not take the coupons. They said that if they did not scan, they would not take them. The checker did not try really hard, and since there was and issue with bottles of the Tide that were NOT marked HE (but exactly the same otherwise) I had to get the HE bottles (the non marked ones were ringing up regular price), I decided not to press the issue about the coupons. Still a great deal tho!!
I still have 4 $3 off coupons from several weeks back. I was never able to find a good deal on them! Yippy 🙂

HE can be used to standard washers (it will just suds up less) but not vice versa.
Thanks for the tip on laminate. I’m also looking for tile how can I search for their clearance or marked down tile? Is there a day that they have tile on sale?
Candice, I work at lowes and honestly tile markdown varies. Usually whatever is being clearanced out for new brand. Make sure you get 10% extra then you need any time you buy tile because of the dye lot (it will be marked on the box). I can’t tell you how many times a customer purchases one week only to come back for more and the shades are different. Just a heads up, good luck!

can i use this with a regular machine instead of a HE?
My store said limited and the actual shelf on the cleaning aisle was empty BUT as I walked to the front of the store I saw a display that is right near the entrance (but faces the back of the store). So if you go, make sure you look around if they are out on the laundry aisle. Our store had a good 20 remaining in the limited stock elsewhere in the store.
Learned my lesson the hard way at home depot pulled the bottles off the shelf and thought they were the same that were in the box in the display and there were tons went to ring out wrong bottle and they were all gone when I went to grab the right bottle…always grab the ones they are displaying for sale in the front of the aisle…Learned the hard way and they wouldn’t even honor one for me coming all the way to get them.
I pulled mine off the shelf in the cleaning isle that said full price in the hopes it would ring up correctly and it did. Sorry you had a hard time.

Thanks for posting this deal! A line had formed at my store and a manager was handing them out to people. They were accepting coupons.
I went to Walmart and i asked the cashier to price match four bottles of Tide and she flat out refuse to do it. She told me that the post was a fake and other people tried to do the same thing the week before. So I went to customer service and they told me the same thing and called their manager, i ended up calling a Home Depot store that verified that they were selling the Tide for $9.98 in stores. I waisted a good half hour and they still limited me to two bottles only, they very reluctantly accepted my two $3 off coupons. Aurora, CO
I waited for 2 hours for Walmart to show me on their price match policy where it says that they can’t price match the tide from Home Depot and they refused. I even showed them their own policy on my phone and they said it was a scam. Walmart has become a scummy dump. From now on I’m an all Target shopper.

Found nothing in my local Home Depot! And this is not even on the ad either, guess I missed this deal!
Where to begin. HD said I cannot use coupons b/c sale price is a coupon?! I said no, a coupon is a coupon! Then she said no coupons accepted b/c price too low already. Then she sd manager refused coupons on deal b/c daily deal item. I showed app price and no exclusion of coupons mentioned so i expect them to accept them as currency.I sd call the mgr over. She sd to go to cust srvc and tell them. Some cust srvc……one of them said “i wouldn’t take them b/c they’re printed and they’re copies”!!! I told her no they aren’t copies, there is a number or website u use to verify as merchant if u want. Finally, after 40 minutes of standing my ground because i was right, they finally did it. Now i need a nap.
Good for you! Glad they finally gave it to you. I once had to “stand my ground” at the store with a cashier for a few mins, but I was polite, and eventually after she realized the issue she said “you my kinda girl! Standing your ground!” Lol. Now I say the same to you! Haha

I wasn’t being rude per say, but a lot more succinct with my response to them b/c for one, i was right, and two, i had 3 kids in tow (one of them a crying infant) and they were just being stubborn about taking my money which was in the form of coupons. I did keep my cool even when a cashier told me “i didn’t get it”…. I’m pretty sure I do understand what a coupon vs sale price is ….although i do have a bachelor’s in business if it made her feel any better 😉

I guess Target price matching is a ymmv. They priced matched for me and allowed me to use mq, target coupon, cartwheel and gave me $5 GC. I paid $7.36 for two. I only went there after Home Depot refused to let me use my MQ.

My Home Depot was out of stock so I went to Walmart next door and price matched it without any problems. No questions asked. Cashier just rang it up for $9.88 after showing her the ad on my phone. Plus I used a $1 coupon. Easy peasy. And got a spot close to the front door (that NEVER happens at this busy walmart) plus no wait in line! Easy easy! Thanks for posting this Collin!!
So annoyed. I went to my Wal-Mart and they refused to price match. Said that the online price was probably only store specific and if the product didn’t show in stock in my town then they won’t price match. It showed limited quantities, but the management still refused. Three managers came over and they all kept using my phone to check the price which I thought was very rude. They also kept acting like I was a criminal and didn’t know what I was talking about. When she said they would only price match a local in stock item, I asked if they still price match Amazon because that’s not local. She then said well they are cracking down and will only be price matching limited items on Amazon. I don’t know what meeting she was in, but apparently she nor the other two managers know their price matching policy. Yet another reason why I rarely shop at Wal-Mart!
Got to my Home Depot at 4pm. They said every store in the area was completely sold out. People were there this morning filling up entire cart loads. And both Target and Walmart refused to price match. I’m pissed. They should have put a quantity limit on these to make it more fair for everyone.
