Thanks!!
You bet! 🙂
And don’t forget your local public library! They will have a summer reading program with events and possible incentives for the kids.
Gillian, you are absolutely right. Libraries have become so much more than borrowing books and getting reference questions answered. I’m lucky to have a fabulous local library that offers tons of children’s programming including summer reading programs, game days, movies, etc. and it’s not just children’s stuff either. They gave away an iPad in the adult reading program last summer. Everyone should check with their local library to make sure you’re not missing out on tons of free activities!
Love this program! We do it every year!!! Thanks for the reminder!!!
You’re welcome, Michelle! 🙂
The B&N one is linked to the 2014 summer program by accident!
Whoops! I updated it! 🙂
Thanks we do B&N and our local library. My kids love it!!!
Is there an age limit on the Books a Million one? It didn’t say and I was curious.
If you have a capcom bank near you they also deposit $15 in your childs account for reading 3 books also give them $10 on each good report card!
This is so timely and appreciated! I am putting a resource guide together for the elementary school i work in to encourage students to continue learning all summer, I had planned to research reading reward programs tomorrow- but now that job is done, thanks!!!
Half Price Books also has a great summer reading program. The kids log their reading minutes for a month and when they turn it in they get a $5 coupon good toward any purchase of $5 or more. Plus they get entered into the most read minutes contest for a $20 gift card. 😊
