Is this a good deal? Hubby has been hinting he would like a drill for Father’s Day but wasn’t sure if this was good or not.
Couple of months ago I found something very similar at Target for $39.99 from $99.99, I got home and was so excited that I got such an awesome deal and the first thing my hubby said why would you pay anything for this? 😔 so after asking all my friends everyone said that Black and Decker drills are no good, if you can just spend a little more and buy a Dewalt or better yet a Milwuakee you will save your self money by not having to replace it soon after. During Home Depots spring Black Friday both of the brands I mentioned were on Special sale for $99.
We buy Dewalt all the time and the battery life is about 10 minutes on each battery (We own 3 and have 4 batteries). I bought one of these last year with the Lithium Ion battery and we love it! Plus it has all of the extras in it (we ended up using most of them so much that they can’t be used anymore). The Dewalt extras kit I bought for $19.99 Black Friday was junk! We lost a Dewalt drill about a month ago and couldn’t find one under $119. We ended up buying the drill/impact driver kit for $179 at Home Depot. If this would have been on sale again, we would have bought another one!
I purchased this a while back when it was the same price and love it. Mind you, I don’t use it everyday, but I don’t think I’ve had to charge it more than a couple times in the year I’ve had it. Powerful, and gets the job done for things around the house like hanging lights, fixing fences, and we even made a set of cornhole boards with it!
We took advantage of a price drop on this set around Christmas. One of our best purchases ever. I love this drill. You have everything you’ll need in one place. The battery has a very long life, and has alot of power. So easy to use and so much better than a corded drill. I would recommend this drill set for sure.
