No one is buying the Keurig 2.0 units because they only accept 2.0 pods, limiting you on what you can buy, and preventing you from using the “fill your own” pods. Fortunately Keurig has back-pedaled on DRM and has stopped making 2.0 units. As long as you are comfortable paying the premium for 2.0 pods, you might like this deal, otherwise…
Very very easy hack for the 2.0 system, so that it’ll take regular pods. Two ways to do it, one with a nice highlighter and one involving cutting up an original pod and glue. YouTube is filled with people offering helpful keurig 2.0 workarounds. No one I know is happy about it. I’m pleased with my little keurig mini I got for $45 from kohls.
Also, Roger’s family offered up something called the Freedom clip they were offering up for free right after the 2.0 came out! Works perfectly on any kcup as well as the ones you can fill with your on.
Exactly what the others have said about hacking the Keurig monopoly! I only bought this brewer because there is a work around.
