Thank you, shamefully we don’t have one. This is a great deal.
You’re welcome! 🙂
Thank you. We had one that just died out last month. Thus us a great price too!!
You are welcome, Kim! 🙂
Just ordered! Thank-you! Been meaning to buy one for 3 years now. This reminded me that I keep forgetting.
😀
This is a good deal, BUT if you use natural gas in your home, I would recommend buying a dual one that detects carbon monoxide as well as explosive gas. We had a pipe seal that went bad and was slowly leaking natural gas in our basement. Our alarm was a lifesaver! Amazon also has the Kidde brand that detects both for only $39.23. I paid $60 at the store for a different brand, but you can’t put a price on your life!!
Thank you! I have been looking for one of these!
Thank you for this information! I am constantly “sniffing” for gas… Would love an actual detector.
Stacy, the dual one you mentioned has a lot of 1-star reviews due to false alarms, have you run into this issue? I really appreciate any feedback, we are long overdue for an alarm.
I actually have the First Alert brand.
Thank you for posting this deal! We are moving this weekend into a home with battery operated alarms and I want to replace them with this product. Perfect timing for my family!
Hope your move goes smoothly! 🙂
These still have a battery and will not work without one. We’ve had this one for almost 10 years. We recently replaced it with their newer model that also detects natural gas.
I had been meaning to get one. Thanks!!!!!
This is SO important. So many people due every year from not having one. If you don’t have this and smoke/fire detectors you have to get one (or more) to potentially save your family. If you truly can’t afford one contact your local authorities, they might be able to help.
An important time to remind you that these and smoke detectors often have expiration dates. When we moved, the old owners hadn’t replaced their smoke detectors for more than 20 years. They still function, but I felt safer knowing they were updated and current. Kind of like using an expired car seat, you can do it but why risk it?
