Are you ready?! In celebration of Cow Appreciation Day tomorrow 7/14, Chick-fil-A will award a FREE combo meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) to any customer who comes to one of the chain’s 1,800+ restaurants fully dressed from head to hoof as a cow. Also, Chick-fil-A will award a FREE entree to customers partially dressed in cow attire, such as a cow-spotted scarf, purse, hat or other accessory. Decision of what qualifies as fully-dressed versus partially-dressed is at the discretion of the restaurant Operator.

Need some inspiration for a cow costume? Check out these ideas from Chick-fil-A…

* Start with items that you already have at home – cow- printed accessories stashed in your closet will work perfectly. Hats, vests, scarves, neckties, pants, shoes, pajamas – just abut any cow-spotted item will work. Just make sure you’re covered head to toe!

* Wear white, and then just add spots. Throw on a white T-shirt with white pants (even sweatpants) and stick on your spots using black contact paper. If contact paper is not easily accessible, you can cut spots out of construction paper and tape them to your shirt and pants. If nothing else, you can grab an old white T-shirt and color black spots all over it with a magic marker.

* Go to your local paint or hardware store and get a white painter’s hat and overalls. And then decorate yourself with spots made out of contact or construction paper.

Can you dress like a cow and go through the drive-through? I hate going in when They have days like this the lines always so long.

    • Steph

The drive through takes even longer than in-store on days like this, at least from personal experience of the last two years.

I have been to Chick-fil=A twice and we received such bad service and they were rude to my girlfriend because she was losing her eyesight and couldn’t read the menu that we don’t go there anymore.

    • Kasi

      That’s terrible

Always call the numbers on the door it goes straight to the owner or chick fila cares national # and they will take your statement and pass it on to the owner. Who will then call and personally apologize and handle the situation and send you coupons for free food. They take complaints very seriously.

They can’t fix situations or retrain (possibly fire if it is a repeated colpaint) people if no one complains.

If I make my own costume does it have to have utters?

    • Ketsy

      No lol

My kids look forward to this each year! Chick-Fil-A is their favorite restaurant but since the closest one is an hour away, we don’t get there very often.

Here in Austin, the Chik-Fil-A game is on point. They will block off a few parking spaces and make two drive through lanes and have actual people out there with iPads taking orders and payments with cards so all you have to do is roll to the window and grab your food. They don’t play at all. They will even usually have someone standing outside the window so if the window person gets held up getting extra sauces or whatnot, that outside window person can go and deliver food to the cars stuck behind them. I may not agree with all of their beliefs but they put the “eff” in “efficient”.

    • Shopper

It’s all hours. There’s a menu of participating food items for all times, it’s on the link Collin posted under faq’s.

My boyfriend doesn’t like fast food but I treated him to Chick Fil A the last time we were in the mall. I got him a strawberry shake without him asking for one. Needless to say he loved it so much he keeps asking when we’re going back. They have the best shakes!

We love Chick-Fil-A! The food, the service, the management. My brother worked at two Chick-Fil-A’s in two different states while he was in college, and the owners were amazingly generous to their staff and customers. We’ll definitely be there Tuesday!

Love Cow Appreciation Day. Love CFA. Love what CFA stands for. Love their food and their service!!!

The best part of this is the looks on people’s face that aren’t dressed up and have no idea what’s going on, LOL!

    Got my free meal!

Had so much fun doing this today.

Last year I picked up some cowprint fabric and just left it as a big square. It can be worn by anyone in any number of ways. Very handy when a group of us go and it gets passed around.

I totally forgot about this today. My daughter made quickly made some sort of cow looking clothes. We got our entire meal for free. It was super cute. Thanks for the reminder! πŸ™‚
