Build-A-Bear Workshop: Extra 40% Off Animals = As Low As $7.20 (+ Outfits Only 2 for $15)
Through August 23rd, Build-A-Bear.com is offering up 40% off Make-Your-Own Animals (not valid on outlet items) when you use the code FRIENDS40 at checkout. Shipping is free on orders of $40; otherwise, it is $5.95.
As an idea, I spotted several animals priced at $12 each so ONLY $7.20 each after using the code FRIENDS40! And if you’d like to purchase clothing for your animal, head here and check out the 2 for $15 Clothing Sale (regularly up to $16 each) – no promo code needed.
And did you know you can order these animals unstuffed and then you can bring them to your local Build-A-Bear Workshop so your kiddos can go through the whole stuffing experience? If you would like to choose this option, simply add the animals to your cart, head to checkout, scroll down to the bottom, look for the “Special Instructions” like pictured above, and then mark the box asking for your animals to be unstuffed! Easy Peasy! 🙂
(Thanks, Katie!)
Is there a charge to stuff them in store if you order unstuffed?
No. We did this years ago with a polar bear that they no longer carried in the store. Ordering was easy and when we took it to the store the staff was friendly and accommodating even though we didn’t actual purchase anything that day.
I was wondering the same thing! Thanks Susan.
If you’re a subscriber check your email … I had a $10 voucher that I used with the 40% off and 2 for $15 outfits! I got a My Little Pony doll and 2 outfits for $34 shipped!!!!
Thanks for the heads up Amy! 🙂
Silly question. If you buy it unstuffed and bring it to the store to be stuffed, don’t they question if you need to buy the animal again?
As soon as you walk in the store with your “unstuffed” animal they will put a special sticker on it showing you already paid for it. I have even purchased animal on “black Friday” in the store and left them unstuffed so the kids could come back and stuff them at a later time. The nice thing about this is you don’t have to stand in line to pay for them with your kids, which sometimes the lines can be loooooong and little ones don’t like to wait!
As long as they see you bring it in you should be fine. We take unstuffed animals in all the time. have never had a problem.
theres no charge to stuff. also if they send them stuffed on accident ( which has happened to me) build a bear stores will unstuff them free
I think I am going to do this for my kids for Christmas. I will order a gift card from Cardcash.com first. The discount is an addition 15-17% right now.
Have you used this before? Is it reliable?
Can most of the animals wear the same clothes? Like if I buy a dog buy an outfit a bear is wearing? Do you think it will work out?
I think it should be ok. I think the clothes are made to fit most of the animals.
YAY! Thanks! We are headed to Disneyland in a few weeks, this will be perfect to bring along and stuff at the store there! AWESOME!!
Do you think that will be a problem at a Disney store? We are going to Disney World, but am afraid they will not allow it. I really love that idea!
You’re welcome! I combined this with gift cards and paid $27 for 3 stuffed animals!
Awesome! Thank you, I was able to get my son’s favorite TMNT along with accessories and sound for a huge discount!!! He is going to be so excited!!!!
I added 2 ninja turtles, weapons and sound to my cart. It only took off 40% on the stuffed animals and nothing else. Was this your experience?
It says 40% off Animals so I don’t believe the coupon is suppose to work on any accessories or anything else.
I was only able to get the 40% off the turtle, making it $15. I had a $10 coupon in my email that helped pay for the sound and accessories.
I got it finally…wasn’t doing all CAPS…DUH!!! 🙂
You’re Welcome Katie! Great Deal! 🙂
It’s saying friends40 is not valid? Am I doing something wrong
I just tried it Wendy and it worked for me. This code will not work on clothing or accessories. 🙂
Same thing for me…did you get it to work?
It has to be all capitals. That was my problem with it.
Thanks! If you have a Costco card don’t forget to buy an egift card to save even more! Took mine less than an hour to come.
It’s an additional 20% off. Got $175 worth of ponies and ninja turtles for $85+ tax after both the $100 BaB gift card for only $80 from Costco.com and the 40% off. Thanks!
If anyone has coupon or $10 code I would love to swap! Want to get some for kids birthdays. Email hwsgigles8@hotmail.com. I have shutterfly frees and enfagrow checks.
My local store honored the online sale 🙂
🙂
Hey please email me the coupon code for $10 off if you won’t use it! Brandybrand@ymail.com I never got it!
I haven’t seen any $10 coupon elsewhere so I am thinking hers might have been her Stuff for stuff rewards
aww man! I just paid $35 for chewbacca in store 2 days ago!!!
🙁
Will they stuff the ones that say outlet at -a regular store?
If I purchase one that says outlet online will they stuff at a regular store?
How can you combine the friends40 promo code with free shipping? I had over $40 worth of items, but when I added the friends40 code it took off the free shipping (even though I was still over $40 after the code).
It seems that only one code can be used and the free shopping is not automatic.
Hmm..the friends40 code is only valid on the Non Outlet Animals and no accessories. Hope that helps!
Thanks – I was able to get it to work today!
Do you have to stuff them within a certain amount of time? I was thinking this would be a cool Christmas present but that’s several months away.
The last few times I ordered unstuffed…they came stuffed…just FYI.
I cannot find the unstained special instructions box anywhere! Please help!
Found it when I stopped trying to pay with PayPal!
I have a $5 birthday coupon voucher for my daughter I got in my email; can I combine this with the 40 percent friends & family discount code? TIA
How do you make sure it comes unstuffed??
Nevermind… Just reread the post 🙂
SPEND $40 GET FREE SHIPPING TOO.. SORRY FOR THE CAPS, I JUST ORDERED 🙂
