Build-A-Bear Workshop: Extra 40% Off Animals = As Low As ONLY $7.20 (+ Last Day for 2/$15 Outfits!)
Don’t forget! Through August 23rd, Build-A-Bear.com is offering up 40% off Make-Your-Own Animals (not valid on outlet items) when you use the code FRIENDS40 at checkout. Keep in mind that shipping is free on orders of $40; otherwise, it is $5.95.
As an idea, I spotted several animals (including the one pictured at the top of this post) priced at $12 each so ONLY $7.20 each after using the code FRIENDS40! And if you’d like to purchase clothing for your animal, through today only, you can head here and check out the 2 for $15 Clothing Sale (regularly up to $16 each) – no promo code needed.
And did you know you can order these animals unstuffed and then you can bring them to your local Build-A-Bear Workshop so your kiddos can go through the whole stuffing experience? If you would like to choose this option, simply add the animals to your cart, head to checkout, scroll down to the bottom, look for the “Special Instructions” like pictured above, and then mark the box asking for your animals to be unstuffed! Easy Peasy! 🙂
If you order them unstuffed is it free to stuff them in the store?
I called my store and they said yes. Your child will be able to give the animal a heart, stuff them, give them a “bath” and dress them
So does that mean you can just go into the store and stuff it for free? Or do you have to pay for it?
they said you can stuff it for free. I was also told on the phone that the store is honoring the 40% off animals in store until sunday. I would maybe call your store ahead of time just to double check
They will honor this code in store. I called and asked.
If anyone has $10 email code (or any coupons) I would love one! Please email hwsgigles8@hotmail.com.
I can’t figure out where to enter in the code!
The box to enter the promo code should be to the right of the “address and shipping” info at Checkout. Good Luck!
I will trade a free photo book from shutterfly if you have a $10 email code to build a bear that you won’t use. Thanks!

If anyone has a $10 code they aren’t going to use I have a little boy who would be so grateful! 😊 karilynj@gmail.com
Comparing the new BAB animals to ones from 5-10 years ago… the quality has gone down, down, down. Sniff. We got some hand-me-down BAB animals from older cousins and they are much more durable than the new ones. Clothes also.
I hate how they put the clothes near the animals instead of keeping them separate.
I have bought build-a-bear animals both online and at the store unstuffed, to stuff at a later date. I usually make sure I give them to my daughter for Xmas & not Santa, and take the receipt with me to the store when I am ready to stuff it. I have never had any problems. My daughter gets the experience then of stuffing & putting in the heart. And I get to take advantage of the some deals before the holidays & use some coupons.
The day before I went to college my dad and I went and made a superman bear for me to bring to school. I sleep with it every night.
