I used the link and it indicates Extra Virgin Coconut Oil hair treatment. The only one I was able to find on the website for consuming is $19.99. any suggestions?
I checked the link too and unfortunately it is for the hair treatment kind. They do have a special of 4 pints of the food grade oil for $50. That was the best offer I could find.
The 4 pint size for $50 is not a good deal as its coming out 0.78/oz which is very expensive. It’s cheaper to get the gallon one.
I have getting Tropical tradition expeller pressed 5 gallon bucket since 2011 and like the quality compared to other brands.
A lot of coconut oil in the supermarket are RBD(Refined/Bleached/Deodorized) by using chemicals and additives and you have to be careful not to buy those.
Hope this helps someone.
If you have access to a costco thry have the nutiva organic coconut oil in a gallon size bucket for 19.99 right now!
A gallon?? I need to go top costco right now, that’s the cost for 16 ounces
Really?? Wow. How many ounces??
Is it really a gallon?
It’s 128 fluid ounces, so yes it’s a gallon. It’s $19.99 true, but it’s refined. However it’s by a trustworthy brand Nutriva, so I’m ok with it being refined. Refined means that it’s made from dry coconut instead of fresh.
Thanks, both of you for your help!
Aldi sells jars of organic coconut oil for 4.99.
Love Aldi!
Yes! This is where I love to buy it!
I bought coconut oil through Tropical Traditions and it stunk so bad I couldn’t even use it. I think I must’ve gotten a bad batch and I should’ve sent it back but I didnt want to mess with returning it.
I have bought from Tropical Traditions and really like their coconut oil and coconut creme. I have also used the one for the hair but was too greasy for me and had a hard time shampooing it out. I have used the Unscented Virgin Coconut Oil Massage Oil with Black Seed Oil and it cleared up my eczema that I have been dealing with for years and softens your skin especially my feet. Just thought I’d let you know my experience with them.
Thank you so much Sue!^ 🙂 I just ordered the Unscented Virgin Coconut Massage Oil with Black Seed Oil. I’m willing to try anything natural to help calm my eczema.
And Collin thank you for posting about the free shipping!!! I’ve been wanting to try Tropical Traditions Gold Label Coconut Oil for awhile. Once my local Costco ditched the Carrington Farms (LOVED) brand for Kirkland (YUCK!), I started reading WAY too much on the coconut oil extraction process. LOL! So, I found Tropical Traditions and although I’m willing to splurge on a high quality product that will be consumed (versus using on hair/body), the shipping was really high. So, between the free shipping, the discounted gold label pint deal (glass jars), the half off lip moisturizers, and then the massage oil, I’m stoked! I can’t wait to get my package!!!
