I bought this the other day with the storage bench deal..got it yesterday..took about an hour to put together. Were using it for a tv. Its pretty sturdy. Definately worth 60.00.the box it comes in is pretty heavy so free ship to my door is awesome.

How would this look made into a kitchen island?
It looks like the back is a black cardboard type backing with cutouts in it. It would probably not work as a island. Would be a great buffet table in the kitchen, though. 🙂
I don’t think it would be tall enough. It’s a desk height buffet.

Honestly, I think this item looks more like a living room bookcase or TV stand more so than a dining or kitchen buffet.

The good thing about this piece of furniture is that with the right accessories you can make it work in any room. It is all in how you display it. I have seen people use lots of things that would typically be in a certain room, work well in another. 🙂

Just a heads up for anyone who purchases a better homes and gardens product valued at $20 or more, you may receive a card in the box offering you a free subscription to better homes and gardens magazine for a year ($6 value). Not a bad deal, But if you don’t want the subscriprion, read the fine print, and it states you can send in the offer card and a copy of your receipt and get a refund instead of the magazine subscription, which I’m assuming is for the value of the subscription ($6). I recently bought a set of blinds and received one card in each box so I’m sending them in to request my refund! Should be getting $12 back!
