We have this humidifier and it is amazing. Works well for when the kids get a cold…they can sleep so much better. We put a little vinegar in the water everyday and it keeps everything nice and clean.

These crane ones are hit or miss. I’ve personally missed three times! They’ve lasted one season each time. Long enough to not have kept the paperwork and to consider a return. Once I did exchange back to amazon but unfortunately it didn’t help. Next one shut down again also. Still on a quest to find a decent humidifier that won’t die after a season.
Where are you storing them? We clean ours out really well with vinegar and baking soda (scrub it) and let it completely dry before storing it. Ours has worked every year for 4 years now?
I agree. Ours has worked for 2 kids over the last 6 years and still going strong. I have noticed majority of negative reviews do state they quit working.

We owned and used one the first year our daughter was born. It didn’t last an entire season and leaked a few times then finally stopped working right. The Vicks cool most humidifier we bought as a replacement works perfectly.

What is the difference between a warm and cool humidifier? Does it help with allergy? Which one is better?
Warm you have to use hot water and/or have a heating element built in, puts out a warm feeling.
Cool, no element, can’t get burnt by using/touching it. Some have filters to clean the water, which get replaced.
Either way they both add moisture to the dry air, yes helps with dry skin, allergies etc.
Also look for auto shut off, when water is low it turns self off.
