If you’re wondering about the quality of these dolls, check out these reviews on Target.com:

I got this doll for a friend and I know her daughter will love it. We have these dolls as well as American Girls and there is no difference.

I absolutely love these dolls. I purchased two for my 5 and 8 year old daughters. They fit lots of brands of clothing and I’m not worried about it if they forget them at a friend’s house or some disaster like “I don’t know” colors on them.

I am not sure if Target will have the same sales this year but last year, Black Friday weekend, I was able to get two dolls for $30. They were on sale for $19.99 plus were included in the bogo 50% off.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh wow! That is a great deal Christine!

  2. Laura

Any thoughts on whether these dolls will be one of the 50% off Cartwheel deals before Christmas? Were they last year?

    • Jodi

You could buy this one and if price goes down, return it and buy a different one. If you’re holding onto it for Christmas.

    • Lauren

They were last year but sold out FAST

  3. Jiya

I thought this “I don’t know” disaster only happens in our house.😊

  4. Shauntae

What do they mean by nonposeable? Do the arms and legs not move? Thanks for the help!

    • Joy

The arms and legs move, but you know how older style barbies you could kind of bend their knees, that’s what they mean by poseable. There are OG Girl Dolls that have bendable arms and legs, but they are more expensive.

      • Naomi

I’m not sure if AG limbs bend. My daughter has a couple of them and they don’t bend at the elbows or knees.

  5. Lisa

I got my daughter the OG doll Holly last Christmas and she loves her. She has held up very well under normal wear and tear or kids playing with her. If you aren’t in the market for an AG doll I’d recommend this as a substitute.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for your feedback Lisa!

  6. Julie

Yes, they had that cartwheel deal of the day last year before Black Friday. They were also $15 on Black Friday, as well as a he clothing for them. I missed the first deal but was able to pick up 4 on Black Friday to donate.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet!

  7. rebecca

Any idea on how long this promo will last for?

    • Naomi

I’m not sure because they were $19.99 last week too.

  8. Katie

My daughter just got one of these for her birthday. She’s very cute but her legs don’t bend so she can’t “sit”. I thought that was odd. She also got the OG kitchen for 59 at our local target and the quality of that is awesome. Super cute with lots of detail!

    • Rebecca

Oh really?! Are they all like that? That’s a total bummer.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing Katie. Super cool to hear that the kitchen is cute!

  9. Kristen

Is this online only it in store as well? Only 2 are available for online order.

The only downfall to these are the hair… it’s awful and impossible to untangle. But a great doll to work up to a true AG doll…. my girls won’t get a true ag doll until they learn some responsibility.

    • Ashley

When my niece’s AG doll’s hair got super-matted (why did she have to get the one with the really long hair?!), we did the Downy Dunk and combed it out with a wig brush I ordered off of Amazon. It worked really well. You can also spray the Downy Wrinkle Release on it and brush it through. Good luck!

    • Naomi

Get a small spray bottle (Walmart) for $0.99 and a wig brush. Start brushing from the bottom to the top. I also keep my daughter’s dolls in braids or buns.😊

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for sharing Kristie!

    • Sarah C

The “hair” ones can’t remember the exact name have decent hair. My 13 yo got one for Christmas last year to practice braids and hairstyles on 😉

    • Kim

To keep the OG dolls hair nice I use kids detangle spray then brush out the dolls hair and it’s just as good as new again!

  11. Naomi

For one of the Black Friday deals, Cartwheel had a 50% off of the doll making it $11.00, but it was limited to one per Cartwheel.

    • Juanita

I got mine at that price and my 3 year old loves it! Was so excited to get it that affordable. She thinks it’s an american girl doll and i’m not paranoid about her losing it. My 8 year old has an american girl doll and it’s pretty comparable.

  12. P

I wish the deluxe dolls were marked down.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Bummer 🙁

  13. Kimberly

I’m holding out hoping for one more good American girl doll deal before Christmas. I missed the last one; they sold out so fast!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      😉

      • Kimberly

        🙂 !!!!

  14. Amy

I hope Target has that amazing bundle sale again on OG clothes. I got 4 different outfits for $12.99!! And they came in their own boxes so I was able to wrap them individually and made really nice gift for my niece.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sounds super cute Amy!

    • Erica

They did a few weeks ago

  15. Kamaya

You can purchase these dolls on Sunday 11/1 by texting TOY2 for a 25% Off mobile coupon on a Toy, Sporting Goods or Arts & Crafts Item. Select dolls will be $19.99, so $14.99 after coupon. The info was listed on Totally Target

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for the heads up!

  16. Erica

We got one last year when it was $11. Unfortunately my daughter doesn’t like her 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry to hear that Erica 🙁

  17. Heidi

I purchased the red haired doll last year when they had them on sale super cheap for a one day sale. They bend at the waist to sit, and and legs move, just not their elbows or knees. My 3.5 yo loves her. We brush her hair with fabric softener and a brush and it works just fine. No problems here! I highly suggest this doll!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So happy to hear that Heidi! Thanks for the tip!

  18. Evan

My daughter has one of these & an AG doll. She actually prefers it over her AG doll. Not sure if I want to grab another or not. 😛
