    • benita

The walgreens coupons expire Nov 7th

    • Nicole

I was confused on that too but I clicked on the link above that said October Savings booklet and on that page it states the booklet expires November 7th.

  12. Ana

Went to my local Walgreens and was doing a great job looking through stuff when these two guys literally came in taking everything off the shelves like they needed everything. Pretty much took an item out of my hand like it was theirs to begin with. ๐Ÿ˜ฃ I guess they really need all that stuff. Lol

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer. Sorry to hear that Ana. ๐Ÿ™

      • Ana

Collin, it was fine though because I already had all the 3 cent pencils ๐Ÿ˜ lol I save those for the kids goodie bags for school next year. Erin, ya I live around a lot of people who coupon a lot so I’ve pretty much taken a break because I’m well stocked up. But yeah it was rude, but maybe they needed it more. I was happy with what I got ๐Ÿ˜Š

    • Erin

I ran into that at Walgreens when back to school stuff was on clearance. A woman was at the register price checking and buying a HUGE cart of stuff. As I was browsing, she came back and started loading another cart, grabbing stuff right in front of me. I mean, how many protractors and locker mirrors do you need? If she hadn’t been so greedy, I would have told her about some awesome unmarked finds.

      • Paula

Just wanted to add in my thoughts about clearance shelf clearing. So many times, stores will only keep stuff on clearance a short period of time. If the items don’t sell, the stores will toss the items away! Very few take the time to donate them to local thrift stores. Why shouldn’t someone buy the stuff for whatever reason than have it get thrown away???

And with that said, I learned on H2S about the Family Dollar clearance last week and was able to score more than 100 pairs of sandals, flip flops, and other summer shoes for 25-60 cents each pair (from 6 different stores!) to give to my church for packing in Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes!! I’m quite certain some of the folks waiting in line behind me were impatient but at least one manager thanked me profusely for “clearing out his clearance” and was so glad to know what they were going for.

Perhaps the protractor-buying shelf clearer was buying them to donate to a local school. Perhaps she was a teacher or an involved parent. There are many of us who like to donate items and can only afford to do so when things are priced lower than normal. ๐Ÿ™‚

        • Erica

I work at Walgreens here in the Midwest. The sad thing is that certain items don’t sell even after 90% off after a certain amount of time they are put away & brought out again next year. Items that don’t expire obviously. Our stockroom is full of things like school supplies (ie folders, notebooks) that just keep getting put out during back to school time. I was shocked to learn this when I started. I thought selling it even for $.05 was better than nothing.

        • Erin

Donating is no excuse for poor manners. The woman was essentially pulling entire boxes of stuff off the shelf immediately in front of me as if to prevent me from buying any. I didn’t really care about the stuff–I would not have purchased it anyway–but I didn’t care for her behavior. Too bad for her, because I could have told her that the colorful hardback binders she passed by were only .20. :0

          • Jackie

I agree with Erin. That behavior is un called for. Fine if you want to donate but what about people like me who NEEDS the stuff and can only afford it when it’s on clearance? Is it ok to clear the shelves as long as you donate them? No! I am a costumer too and I would like to be able to get some good deals also for my family. I mean it’s great to donate but leave some for the people who also need them and are looking for a great deal for their families.

        • Jill

Target donates stuff that isn’t sold

          • Lizbeth

I work for Target. They do NOT donate anything; rather, they sell salvaged items by the truckload to goodwill. Since Goodwill is a ‘charitable’ organization, they receive a tax write-off for the full retail value. Let’s call a spade a spade— it is a tax benefit for Target. They are not giving anything away. ๐Ÿ™

          • Colleen

I have seen the stuff from target for sale at goodwill later, often it will be marked higher than it was at Target originally.

  13. Jackie

I was even able to score dial foam hand soap for .30 cents!!!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

  14. Carola

Collin thanks again for posting this great deal!

  15. Teresa

Will be making some butterfingers with the candy corn!

  16. Mag

I just stopped by target and they have the m&m’s at 50% off which comes out to be 1.59, however, I found a 1.00 off when you buy two holiday candies in a Christmas m&m bag and I end up paying 1.09 for each bag.

    • Hannah

Please tell me you didn’t take coupons off of the Christmas bags without buying them.

      • C

Of course she did, people are so rude!

        • Mag

No I actually didn’t take them off. I usually am the one that always leaves coupons that I won’t be using on top of the item. My best friend went with me and she gave me the coupons to see if it worked with the m&m’s I was going on to purchase. If not I was going to use them on her items since she doesn’t like to use coupons at all. No people I am not rude and only buy what I need and not the entire store.

  17. wendy

Awesome…scored a bunch of decorations and goodies for $3 ๐Ÿ™‚

    • AR

I don’t know how it got posted twice, sorry!

  18. Bev

The Walgreen’s store in South Sioux City, Nebraska deserves a big pat on the back for something my husband and I witnessed today. A gentleman had stopped in to pick up a few things and happened to walk through the Seasonal isle, where two managers/assistant managers were working on putting the Christmas stuff out. He noticed that the Halloween candy was marked down 70%, and started choosing some to purchase. He then mentioned that he was a member of the Iron Worker’s Union, and was going to use the candy for the upcoming “Santa Arrives in Siouxland” parade later this month. He said he spent about $300 on candy for last year’s parade. One of the employee’s left for a few minutes and then returned and told the guy that she would give him a price break on whatever Halloween candy he wanted. He checked out just before us, and had 3 huge boxes full of candy, and his cost was just over $50! The kids at that parade are going to be very happy!

    • Erica

I work at Walgreens in another city in Nebraska. That gesture makes me so proud. Thank u for sharing

  19. Milly

    At all Walgreens?

  20. Joy

You should post that on Facebook and Twitter. They certainly do deserve a big applause.

  21. Just Me

There’s a $1 off coupon in the book for single Reese’s pumpkins. Came to 10 cents each ( must buy). In hindsight it wasn’t a good deal?
I asked the clerk if the coupon would work she said no because it was marked down and was sorta rude but of course it worked. I said the coupon didn’t exclude clearance

    • Just Me

Also I found $1 /2 off coupon stand for Swedish fish in the regular candy aisle so 1.50 each

  22. Just Me

Also mansfield ohio Trimble walgreens will only have stuff til Monday. Heard the manager saying it’s better for them ( customers happy) to sell it for 10% than to send it back and get 50%. Though some stores will just send it back.
But it’s got some decor and lots of brachs candy.

  23. Cynthia

I went after work with mom and scored big at the Lilburn,Ga Walgreens. Halloween candy is 70% off and decor is 90%! I bought 2 inflatables for $2.49 each, an animated candy bowl, various rubber rats & spiders, a giant spider web and plastic spiders and a 205 pieces of candy bag and only spent $15.68. My receipt said I saved $105.90! Thank you for posting these deals.

  24. Barb

Went to two different Walgreens after I saw this post, the first store I got a couple things, but as soon as I would take something off the shelve the Walgreens manager was scanning and grabbing everything and putting into grey bins. She told me I couldn’t get anything else because she was boxing it up and sending it back because she didn’t want her store to take a 90% loss! WTH!!! I left and went to the store down the street and everything was on the shelf and I bought $24.91 worth of decorations for next year (no candy I’m tapped out from the Target sales, lol). Like the poster above me my receipt says I saved $225.30! Thank you for posting! ๐Ÿ™‚

  25. Div

My local Walgreens at Loveland CO had select Halloween candies marked down 75%off …got twin and kitkat fun size jumbo bag for$1.74…kitkat minis jumbo bag for 99cents..

  26. Andrew

The problem with the Walgreens clearance: the generic “this shelf only 70% off” or “this shelf 90% off” but the question is: what items are really are those percentage off. Plus, how much are they do begin with? Nothing is really marked. Too bad there aren’t no price checkers around. That is something CVS does right.

  27. Brett

The Brach’s 9 OZ and 11 OZ bags were $0.20 each at my local Walgreens! We used the $1/2 in the Walgreens Booklet that expired last night and it made them free! Only paid 1 cent per bag (tax). We got over 50 bags and only paid around $0.50!
