No, they can not.
I got these trash bags from Amazon and they all rip down the same seam no matter how much or how little you put in the bag. Worst trash bags ever! I got a box of 90 and had to double them all. Waste of money.
We’ve had trouble with these too. Surprisingly, Meijer brand and Aldi brand are both really thick trash bags!

I always wait until these trash bags go on sale for $9.99. I purchase between 10 to 20 boxes at a time for my entire family and friends when they areturn athe this price. Why so many? Of course they give me the money for my purchase, but it’s a good way to buy useful items to keep my premier status. I have never had the problem of a bag tearing a part. These are great trash bags.
