Another factor that made the decision easier was the Amazon bundle has the physical discs included and is not a disc download. Something to think about.
Look at specs, the first bullet point states that all five games are digital vouchers. Gamer husband and son said digital vouchers are no issue. Plus with the ebay offer you save $20+ in tax, if applicable. And ebates takes another $8 off, so you’re getting the deal for right at $280.

I am so torn. Part of me really wants this and have since the day PS4 came out, but another part of me wonders if it’s a waste of money because we already have a WiiU. If I get it, this would pretty much be THE Christmas present for my kids. So torn… Pros and Cons?
Depends on the age of your children because a majority of Playstation games are rated mature. I got this for my husband. Definitely would not if children would be involved. JMO!
My kids are 10 and 13.
If you want a system that grows with your kids, I suggest an Xbox.

I agree with Jen. We have a PS4, Xbox 360, and an Xbox One in our household. My kids (two 14 and 5) play the Xboxs a majority of the time. That’s only because the games they play are for the Xbox 360/One. I think we have one kid friendly game for the PS4 and that’s Little Big Planet. IMO the PS4 is a waste. It’s loud too when the fan turns on to cool itself but it never bothered anyone else.

I have this for my son who is 14. Got it when it first came out. I think it is age appropriate. It’s all about the games. Some games can be very mature. We got the PSN membership and receive free games each month. You also have the option of getting PS Now, which is like Netflix for PS. You have access to tons of games. I didn’t care for the XBox features in comparison to the PS4 at all. I also hated the bulky controller.
I went ahead and did it. I went to Ebay through Plenti Marketplace in hopes that everything works for me to get $16 ish back in Plenti Points but that’s always hit or miss. I may regret it but now my Christmas shopping is done. Lol
we love the playstation systems! I have four boys. The two oldest (7 and 9) play the playstation. All game systems make the same games for every system basically (Wii, xbox,…) my boys have football games, superhero squad, lego batman/starwars, tons of games that are kid friendly. Plus we use it as a Blu-ray, music player too!

This is what my son asked for and we ordered this same bundle from Walmart for $399!!!! It arrived yesterday! Will Walmart refund the different on a price match?! Help!!!!
I’m not sure of the policy but if you payed $399 you probably got the limited edition bundle which has the console with the image of darth Vader on it. This one is the regular console so they probably won’t price match. If you don’t care about the special console I would return the one from Walmart and get this one.
It’s not the limited edition- it’s the same bundle, same accessories- that’s why I’m wondering if Walmart will honor it.
Update: Local store said they couldn’t price match online order. So, I called corporate. After speaking to an associate and her supervisor I was refunded $50. The controller in the bungle wasn’t EXACTLY the same but they acknowledged the difference in price of the console so price matched that.
