We have the 2 in 1 booster car seat (from kohls) in pink and love it! It’s height is easily adjustable without removing straps and you can recline the front bottom of the seat. The straps are thick and not that thin nylon. The seat is very heavy but it’s because of the steel. Very cushy.

You might consider waiting until you get a stroller, bc depending on what stroller you want, a lot sell travel systems, which includes a stroller, infant car seat, & base

anyone have any comments on how the pinnacle compares to diono radian? I like the fact that diono takes less space as I read people can even put 3 in a row. thanks

If you will be using the radian for rear facing and then forward facing then it will be a good choice. If you are going to use it just for forward facing then there are better options as the booster function on the radian is not great. If a kid can fit in the limits for the booster on that then they are young enough to still need to be in a harness.
I would recommend the Graco tranzitions at Babies rus or harmony defender 360 for fitting 3 across.
If you are going to be using the diono radian for rear facing and then forward facing then it is a good seat to get. If you are going to get it just for forward facing then I wouldn’t spend the money on it. The Radian does not make a good booster fit as the kids who fit in it as a booster should still be using the harness. If you need a seat that is a forward facing harness and converts to a booster later, look at the Graco tranzitions or the harmony defender 360. 🙂
thanks for the input Ashley. We’re only needing forward facing but wanted something where child can be harnessed longer. Higher weight/height limit for harnessed carseat. Pioneer seems like a good price and the features for the britax are similar to radian, but I think I was thinking too much and they may have sold out 🙁 We have a Recaro for older child.
Well if you need higher height and weight then the diono wouldn’t be a good choice. It has lower harness slots still. The pioneer is a great seat but I don’t see it fitting three across unless you have a huge car/truck.
The pioneer is now saying $184. Am i missing something?
