Awesome! I’m going to have one happy boy.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yay!

  2. Kelli

Ugh, so frustrating. They won’t ship this to alaska. I guess my boys are not getting this cool toy πŸ™

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn. Sorry to hear that Kelli πŸ™

What does “frustration free packaging” mean when ordering this on Amazon? Just curious before ordering. Thanks.

    • Jamey B

It means it’s way easier to open than the “you’ll never steal this from toys r us equal packaging”

      • Jamey B

        Equal * retail… lol

I got this for my boys (8 and 9) last year for Christmas on a clearance deal. It is a fun toy, and they do love it, but it isn’t very durable. After the propellers fell off, Mattel did send new ones for free when we emailed them. I’m actually considering buying another because they liked it so much!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That’s great! Thanks for such awesome feedback Miriam!

I got this toy last year at target when it was on sale, it was awesome while it lasted, it came apart within 3weeks after xmas. I was very disappointed. It’s very delicate and breaks easily. I think it’s more for a older teen with an open field. It would get stuck in our trees alot. Wouldn’t buy it again

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry to hear that. Thanks for your honest review.

I got this last year for my son who was 6. He loved it! And it took quite a beating before it was inoperable. My son nose dived it into concrete multiple times and it would just keep going. And it actually came with replacement propellers. These were included in my local targets toy clearance in July and I picked up two more then (one for my son and one for my daughter who was always begging for a turn).

      Thanks for sharing Patty!

I wouldn’t waste your money on this! This is the worst item we have ever bought from hot wheels. We bought it last year when it was a cartwheel deal and threw it away the next week.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bummer. Sorry to hear that Desirae. πŸ™

Just grabbed one, I have seen this else where for $75! Can’t beat the price! Thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

I wouldn’t waste you money on this even at half price. Fell apart after 2 uses. Very cheaply made. My son got it for Christmas last year and it was in the garbage shortly there after.

My 11 year old son bought it on clearance over the summer and he loves it. Very durable. Only complaint is the short run time. My husband even bought himself one to fly with our son.

We got this as a gift for our 5 year old and it is still in perfect working order after many flights (and crashes on the street and in trees) still holds the same charge as when new a year later. Like all things perhaps some people get a lemon? I recommend this at half price or less, works great in car mode as well.

      Thanks for sharing πŸ˜‰

My boys 5 and 7 got this last year. Maybe lasted a few weeks….not worth the money. Propellers constantly fall off then you get to search for them. It was fun….for a few runs! My kids were so bummed after they broke. One broke and then about a week later the other one did.

The only good reviews on Amazon seem to be “vine” ones, of course, I hate product testers reviews they are almost always too positive. The real reviews overwhelmingly seem to say this thing will fall apart right away. If i had a teenager that i though would not crash it maybe, but not a child who will for sure crash it, it will for sure be broken in no time.
