    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Good! You are so welcome Jessica!

Will they not let kids under 5 participate? I see it says recommend but wonder if they would turn away a child that’s 4.

I have a friend that takes her 3 year old. You may just have to help them if there are difficult things they have trouble with.

    • Melloddie

At my location, they do not check age. As long as there is an accompanying adult. Staff are very lax and friendly. My Lowes however is very strict, verifies everything and grumpy now often times than not. Lay time we were there, they just handed out the building packs and told us to do them at home because they WERE ” OUT OF HAMMERS “!!! I was like there should be plenty down the hammer aisle . It’s like going to KFC and being told they have no chicken, but ridiculous. I plan to only take my kids to HD ones going forth.

      • K

I have been to KFC before and told they have no chicken!! I was speechless! 😂😂

        • Rebecca

I have as well, no joke.

      • Just Me

My lowes has a grumpy old man but they don’t check age. He’s grumpy enough to not care lol

I’ve been taking my daughter since she was about 1.5 years old and the people at my Home Depot don’t check ages. I have to help her with the projects, but she enjoys painting and hammering the nails.

    • Jennifer

I’ve seen younger than 5’s at mine. They might need some help with the tools though.

  5. Sandy

    Thanks for the reminder!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Sandy!

It says on the site the workshop is from 9-12 but when you go to register it says you can only sign up for 9, does anyone know, can you do it between 9-12, We cant get there until 10….will they still be working or not?

    • Kimberly

It starts at nine and it’s as long as kits are available. We have gotten to ours at 10 and they have been out of kits, so it’s always best to plan to go early!

    • Just Me

I like to go at 10 because the early crowd has died down

  7. Marcos

I’ve doing it for the last 12 years, first with my older kid who’s now 16, and with my little one, who’s 7, it is an awesome experience for them.
