This looks a lot like the one we had. We were very happy with it (about a year) until it caught on fire. Luckily we caught it in time before it burned down our house. We googled the model number and discovered we weren’t the only ones. We contacted Cuisinart and they offered to send us another one. But we didn’t want to take chances. We bought another brand.
We had one with a carafe that caught on fire. I will never buy this brand!
Now that you mention it, ours had a carafe as well. But the coffee maker part looks the same. I’m with you. Never again would I consider buying another Cuisinart coffee maker. If you google “Cuisinart coffeemaker fire” you will see a host of complaints. Cuisinart is well aware of the problem, but I don’t see any evidence that they have fixed the problem.

The hubs asked me to get this for my in-laws because it is “self-cleaning.” They have a similar model now that he has attempted (and failed 😕) to clean without success. Paid w/ Pay Pal & it’s on it’s way! They will be surprised… It’s a late Christmas gift 🌲
