Anyone received the Walmart newborn box? Is it worth it?

    • Julie

I’m wondering that too! I think I’ll try the toddler one instead

    • Jessica

I received this past one they did and I wasn’t impressed at all. I’ve done it about 3 times in the past.. The first one was amazing. I feel like the quality of the products in this box are drastically going down. Will probably cancel if I get another bad box after this one.

      • jkp

        Me too.

  2. Mandy

FYI… I received the exact same box with BRIGHT RED lipstick and tiny samples of lotions two shipments in a row. I e-mailed them and didn’t receive a response, so I cancelled. Event though Target boxes are a little more expensive, they are a much much better deal when you factor what you actually get in the box. Just wanted to let you know my experience.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for your honest review Mandy. I sure do appreciate it.

  3. S

I haven’t tried the Wal-mart beauty boxes. Is it a subscription beauty service? Or is it a one time beauty box purchase?

    • Valerie L

It is a quarterly subscription, most of what comes is handy and for $5 pretty well worth it.

  4. jacqueline ising

I ordered one and it allows you to cancel the subscription if you want to. it looks like its worth at least 5 dollars.

  5. Jo

I’ve been subscribing this for over a year, since fall 2014. The boxes that I got usually pretty good. Got olay, roc, revlon, etc. But the last one is so disappointing. I got exactly like the picture shown. Just 2 travel size products and the rest some cards samples. The Target beauty box has far more value.

    • tisha

agreed, on this one being disappointing and the target box being more valuable.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for your feedback Jo.

  6. Robbie Johnson

This latest box was a disappointment. I have been receiving them for a year, but this one has made me rethink continuing this. There was a travel hairspray, a small raspberry shave cream and a jar of some moisturizer, then just a couple samples and a color chart for haircoloring….. In the past there have been a couple of full-size products or a coupon to get a full size product, plus smaller products. That’s just my opinion, for what it’s worth.

    • Emerson

My box had the same as well as a pack of nice Goody hair rubber bands. In store the band’s are at least 4$ alone.

  7. melissa

I get Walmart and Target Beauty Boxes i look forward to getting them.To me i still will continue to get both.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh good! Thanks for sharing Melissa!

  8. Luz

    Hi!
I receive the same thing is at the picture. It’s not worth it! 🙁

  9. m

just got reserved a toddler box, hopefully i will get it before she turns four in the summer lol

    • April Rose

Did it say when they were coming? Or what would be included? Does it charge credit card now or when it ships?

      • m

my email states that they are sourcing items to go into the toddler box, it says nothing about ship date or whats suppose to be in it. im assuming that they placed a hold on my credit card for the 5$ ( so in theory yes that money is taken) but for 5$ its a small risk for me

  10. Lori Connors

Definitely disappointed with this last box. It was not worth it at all!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry to hear that Lori. 🙁 Thanks for sharing.

  11. Emily

I subscribed for a few months this past year (got two boxes), and both were mostly foil packets.
I’d rather take my $5 and spend it on something full sized.

  12. Barb J

Got this box a few weeks ago. It’s okay. I canceled once before and signed back up again a few months ago. I may be canceling again.

  13. april

Anyone get the toddler one? What products are in it?

  14. Tiffany

The last box they sent out was the first time i ordered one. I wasnt impressed but I think Ill give them another chance. I think for $5 its still a good deal. I just was comparing it too much to Target and Ipsy.

  15. Lauren

I have subscribed to this for the past year and it is definitely worth the $5. I have gotten some good stuff!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! Thanks for your review Lauren!

  16. tisha

I think it is worth the $5, but I do like some boxes better than others, this one falling in the “others” category. I got the same box as the one in the pic, it was okay, made for some good stocking stuffers for my teen 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for your feedback Tisha!

  17. Tricia

I have received 4 beauty boxes and liked all of them except the last one. There was a sample of lotion and sample size of shaving cream then coupons. was not worth it . Ill continue 1 more time to see how that one will be.
    Target Beauty Box ?? I didn’t
    know they had one .

    • April Rose

Collin posted Target box early this morning. Check back on the posts! I ordered that one, but not sure if its worth it for this…

  18. Renee

    I get birchbox and for $10 a month it’s 100% worth it

  19. thecents2save

My last box looked exactly like the photo with the Pantene product in it. Highly disappointing. I don’t need a box full of packet sized samples (at my own cost). I canceled my subscription after the last 3 boxes were not a good value. Their sample packet inclusion seemed to increase while the bottled products decreased.

  20. Lisa

I have been getting this box for the past year. I personally think it’s worth the $5. It’s nice to get a little surprise in the mailbox!

  21. melissa

I previously ordered the fall beauty box and was highly disappointed. Mostly samples and no full size products, plus received mouthwash and hairspray only. I threw away samples. Would not order again. Also, check mysubscriptionaddiction.com as she posted a review on this new winter box. Reviews are not good. Target beauty boxes are much better and you actually receive full size productions occasionally.

    • melissa

  22. heather

last fall I got three boxes in a row all with very little quality samples. I called and they basically told me that they couldn’t do anything about it all I could do was cancelled. Luckily I was not charged. I did cancel because the target boxes are so much better. They truly are just sample boxes worth one or two uses

  23. Maria

They were good at first but the last few times it’s mostly samples and coupons

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry to hear that Maria. Thanks for sharing.

  24. Teri

I ordered two of the Walmart beauty boxes, and was disappointed both times. The items were common and sample sizes. Example ponds night creme…Not worth the money for me.

While the Target beauty boxes are full of larger or full sized items. Most of which are new to the market. I love them, and look forward to trying out new products in hip colors. The Walmart colors seem to be unpopular colors that didn’t sell well in the stores. IMO 😃

  25. Barbara

From my experience, their beauty box is nice for over 40 years old range ladies. It had Roc and other brand’s full size product and travel size sample in each box. But for 20-30 years old range ladies, they had full size lip or mascara and samples. Since their description is based on your age group, if you want more skin care product and nice beauty box, you should add 10-15 years on your age when you registry. I cancelled my subscription before winter box come, because I started another subscription from Allure beauty box. Their beauty box is $15 per month but I love them. If you interested in it, they are offering $5 off for your first beauty box now.

  26. marcie

Totally not worth it compared to Targets beauty boxes.. very disappointing. most of it was coupons! would not order again. Target on the other hand- totally worth the price they charge for NICE size samples.

  27. Sharon

I didn’t try the boxes, but someone gave me a year subscription to birchbox and it was similar. I don’t understand paying for what should be free samples. Also, it’s too random and not targeted enough.

    • Samantha

With Birchbox you can review the products and they give you money to spend in their store and it helps to curate your subscription. I have actually bought tons of things from them using combinations of their sales and my points. I am thinking of cancelling the Walmart one, it doesn’t come often enough or really have anything I actually use.

  28. Djn

I have all of the beauty boxes I have received well worth it lots of Delux samples or full size good coupons included as well

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Cool!

  29. Shannon

My first three boxes were great. I lied about my age to get the box geared to woman with aging skin so I could get products I wanted. But the box in December was crappy. It had a small hairspray and small shave gel and that was it for good samples. Had a coupon for Rogaine and hair dye. Also had a paper thing to match foundation shade to skin but not an actual sample to use. Bummer! If I get another box without much good stuff I’ll cancel.

  30. Tracey

i’ve been getting the Walmart Beauty Box for over a year. My experience is that every other box has
a full size product, at least one. some are amazing values. Full size Roc product, full size Olay product.
Last summer the box contained a John Frieda sample bottle of the sea salt spray and the 7 day volume.
I love those two products and don’t think i would have purchased them on my own. They make my thin
hair look full and hold a set if i choose to curl it. I think it is worth the $5.

  31. mccom13

i ordered my 1st walmart beauty box last fall. then about a month ago, i got an email “confirmation” about the winter box. but i never received the box! i thought that w/ the walmart beauty boxes, once i sign up, the subscription continues until i cancel it. am i wrong? do i need to sign up each time to receive the box?
on a related note, am i the only one who ALWAYS misses out on buying the target beauty boxes? of course they were sold out YET AGAIN earlier today–SO FRUSTRATING!!!

    • Sara

I have never been able to get the target box either 😞

    • Dana

Same here…Target is always sold out when I check.

  32. Ailine

    Hello,
I signed up yesterday using the link provided by you. I entered my shipping information as well as credit card info but never got a confirmation email. I’m concerned about having entered all my personal data and never heard back from them. Was this a scam???

  33. Robin

Not impressed with the Walmart beauty box. Ipsy monthly subscription is much nicer!

  34. Christi

I received my box today and it was definitely disappointing! I’m going now and cancelling my subscription.

  35. Lydia

Just cancelled mine. Two bad boxes in a row.

  36. Shirley

I have not received my December 2015 box and emailed but got no response! I am going to cancel
