Do you know how long the gift card promo is lasting?
If you look on the product page and click where it says in red “$5 gift card with movie pre-order” under the price it will give you all of the promotion details. If you look all the way at the bottom it says that the promotion ends on 2/1/16 however it also says that quantities are limited. Just a note on pre-orders with Target is that they don’t charge your card until they ship your item and you can always cancel your pre-order if you find a better deal somewhere else. I hope that helps.

I just ordered mine. For some reason it has the estimated ship date as 9/11-9/16. I can’t imagine it will take that long for it to come out.

This was my favorite star movie. Went back and watched all the rest after seeing #7 in theatres. I have been stocking up on star wars christmas or aments with these 75-90% off deals to make a star wars/pop culture xmas tree next year. 🙂

My experience is when they send out movie. I preordered The Martian a month ago from target and haven’t received gc yet.
In the promotion details it says that the gift card will ship when the movie ships and will be shipped separately from the movie. I have preordered many movies from them in the past and it always seems to take longer for the gift card to arrive than the movie. However in every experience I have received the gift card within two weeks of the ship date for the movie. I hope that helps 🙂

I don’t know if you know it, but it says they are doing the $5 gift card for preorders for Snow White and Good Dinosaur as well
When I pre-ordered Minions, they charged separately for the gift card, but then took $5 off the movie price when they charged for that. Weird way to do it, but whatever works! 🙂
It actually makes sense for them to do that so if someone returns the movie that they only get back the selling price minus the value for the gift card. It keeps people from getting a free gift card out of the deal without purchasing and keeping the product required to qualify for the gift card
