My brother in law fishes in the BASS competitions and has one of these. He said it is awesome. It gives him a backup not only for his boat but his phone as well.

Oh cool! Thanks for sharing Michelle!

Beware! I’ve been reading many reviews around the Internet for this device and quite a few reviews said that it exploded and cause a fire in their cars or that it swelled up so much that they found it unsafe to keep in their cars. Yikes! Just thought I’d put the warning out there.

I had one of these. During the polar vortex last year I left on a business trip for 3 days and came back to the airport to a dead battery because it was so cold. I hooked up the jump pack and it swelled and exploded during use. Ended up waiting around in a -20 parking lot at 2am with very upset airport security until AAA showed to jump the car.

Not a night or product that will be easily forgotten!

I’m in a state where it easily reaches 140 degrees in the car during the daytime. We saw this type of item at Aldi last week for $40. My comment to my hubby was if it’s questionably safe to leave a flashlight with regular batteries in your glovebox due to interior car heat, how is leaving this larger battery in your car a safe idea???? We bypassed this device. Thank you to the posters above with the stories. I’m horrified this happened to you but by sharing your story it reinforced our decision. Thank you so much!

Would not recommend, I have this and it ‘exploded’ in my trunk last winter. Not safe.

Bummer 🙁 So sorry to hear that Dana. Thanks for sharing.
