I’ve been stalking Hallmark for a week now and today they went 75% off and I was able to score some awesome deals! My favorite deal was memo pads, regularly $14.99 on sale for $3.74! These will be awesome teacher gifts next year with a gift card attached!

My purchase included 8 memo pads, 4 individual hot chocolate packages, a tree topper, 4 ornaments, a DVD ($2.49), a cookie plate with milk glass and reindeer food bowl set, and 2 packages of snow for $85! Please note that privately owned Hallmark stores may have gone 75% earlier. The stores in my area are owned by Hallmark.

*Come back and let us know if you’re able to find the same Christmas Clearance deals at your Hallmark!

Consumers always complain about issues with grocery stores accepting coupons, but in my experience, Hallmark is by far the worst! We aren’t lucky enough to have any Hallmark-owned stores, just two different multistore franchises, and *all* of the stores have all given me trouble for no reason. They absolutely HATE accepting Hallmark coupons, whether rewards earned or emailed Hallmark coupons. I understand that the Hallmark rewards are to be used on Hallmark-branded merchandise–and they really do want shove those overpriced plastic keepsake ornaments down your throat!–but one cashier actually told me that she didn’t think she could accept it on Hallmark ornaments! Then what in the world are you supposed to use the rewards on?!? Another cashier refused to give me the coupon they were offering with the purchase of a keepsake ornament because she insisted that the ornament I bought wasn’t an ornament but “decor.” I had to point to the word “ornament” before she relented. I wanted to exchange a duplicate item *with receipt*, and the employee told me that a reward was used on the purchase and therefore I’d have to pay a dollar in order to exchange the item–even though it was a one-for-one switch and the items were the same price, just of a different variety. When Hallmark sent me $5/10 and $5/15 coupons, the employees always had to do a “coupon huddle” before determining whether my items qualified. I tried to use a $5/10 on a $13.99 purchase, and the cashier insisted I had to purchase two $13.99 items, because the items *had* to be sold in twos. I swear, every time I walk into Hallmark, it’s like entering the Twilight Zone. No more Hallmark for me. Too bad, because they do have some cute stuff, but the cashiers are crazy in my area. Not worth the aggravation.

Twilight zone indeed. The Hallmark in my town is usually pretty good about coupons…but I don’t go in there a lot. I hate negative experiences like what you have had. 🙁

I have had issues using coupons at Hallmark too–I had a coupon from their rewards program that they mailed to me (which I earned from spending money in the store) and I asked if I could use it on clearance items and they said “they would basically be giving me money” if I used the coupon on clearance stuff

You actually had the guts to use the Christmas $5 off $10 and $5 off $15? I didn’t even waste my time. I didn’t even bother to print. At other stores, I wouldn’t flinch printing such coupons but at Hallmark, I just deleted the e-mail. It’s not worth the pain and hassle of dealing with their employees who acts like your taking the coupon value straight out of their wallets.

My Hallmark is still 50% – just checked at lunchtime.

Cool! Hopefully they will go to 75% soon!

Both of the Hallmark stores in my area (Katy,TX) are having a sale on the Christmas items of Buy one at 50% off, get one free–so it comes out to 75% off per item, but you have to get 2 things for that discount. I got my daughter some of the holiday itty bittys and some frozen Christmas ornaments.

My hallmark still says 50% off, but I bought Christmas gift wrap and it rung up at 75% off. Maybe they just didn’t get around to changing the signs.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the heads up Louise!

Anyone see if the peanuts light up/singing characters are on sale? My daughter got Charlie Brown for Christmas. Would love to get her Lucy & Linus too

    • Mary Beth

I have seen the singing peanuts characters on clearance at CVS
