Restaurant.com: $10 Dining Certificate Only $2.40
If you’re looking to save on dining out in your area or to save on eating out when traveling, here’s a great deal for ya! Today only, Restaurant.com is offering up a $10 certificate for ONLY $2.40 when you use the promo code NEW at checkout.
Here’s what you’ll need to do…
*Click here to find a restaurant in your neighborhood (search by zip code or city)
*Browse through the list of participating restaurants in your area (you will be able to view the menu, location, and phone # for each restaurant)
*Pick your restaurant and the appropriate certificate amount and then click add to cart; be sure to read the restaurant’s special instructions before purchasing the certificate; many restaurants require that you make a minimum purchase, many add 18% gratuity prior to the certificate being applied, some may state valid for food or dinner only, and some may restrict the days that the certificate can be used (i.e. Monday-Friday only).
*Enter the promo code NEW into the “Promo Code” box; your discount will then be applied to your purchase. AND your final cost for a $10 certificate will be ONLY $2.40!
When I use the code NEW, it only discounts my $10 certificate by $4.00 or 40%. 😕
I would like to warn potential customers that I purchased two vouchers through restaurant.com after learning about them on this sight. When my family and I arrived at the restaurant the first time it was “Out of Business.” We were really disappointed, but now I am frustrated because they refuse to respond to almost daily emails I send them asking for a refund for the 2 vouchers since the restaurant is closed. I’m not suggesting that this sight is a total fraud and many may have had great experiences, but I have felt very inconvenienced and have not filed a complaint through Paypal in hopes of getting a refund. It should never have had to go this far and taken so much of my time.
Kristi,
My name is Steve and I work in customer service here at Restaurant.com. Can you please email me at sevans@restaurant.com when you get a moment? We can certainly work to issue you a refund! Thanks!
This is Kristi and I am sending you an email re the vouchers I purchased for the restaurant that had gone out of business. I want to be clear that we attempted to visit the restaurant less than two weeks after purchasing vouchers so we did not delay and sit on these vouchers for six months before attempting to use them.
I sent email you requested explaining circumstances and the $37.50 I had spent on vouchers over short period. I received response that “could not be delivered” and “steve wasn’t found at restaurant.com.” Buyer Beware! I have never filed claim re any retailer s this is new to me and very disappointing. Guess I learned a hard lesson.
Agh! Never mind. It was a $25 certificate for $6. My mistake
I would not recommend this site. They’re misleading and there are so many exclusions that you can ‘t even use their discounts. We tried to use it 3 times at 3 diff. places and were told that they no longer participate or the code didn’t work or they couldn’t take it without managers approval. Then we can’t get our money back! I wonder how many other peeps have $ invested in these BARGAIN certificates that can’t be used. 🙁
Kristi again…I meant I have filed a complaint through Paypal but it should not have come to that. I want to thank Hip2Save you are awesome, ethical and thank you for posting my comment. I love site and love to give good reviews, but just not this time. Gotta be honest.
I had this happen also and I contacted restaurant.com. They credited back the acct for the unused certificates. I don’t remember if I got the discounts back, but at least all was not lost. And it was pretty much like this deal, only a few bucks.
Thanks LM for also speaking out. We need to be looking out for each other. My kids were really excited about dinner out that night and this company treats people really unethically. Glad you spoke out too.
Glad you at least got your money back, Elaine. Good for you!! I will keep fighting the good fight out of principal.
Yeah, that co. is terrible! I’m all for a good deal and hip2s. has many and I’m thankful for that. But this is a complete waste of money. And the customer service is nonexistent. Seems like such a great bargain but then it just doesn’t work. And it was embarrassing. We were taking my inlaws out to eat and the waitress told us she knew nothing about our certificate and the manager wasn’t around. If everyone gives them $2.40 and gets no return that’s so unfair. I wonder how much $ that co.has tied up in certificates that can’t be used? THanks to you Krisi! Buyer beware!
I have used restaurant.com certificates at 5 different restaurants and have never had a problem. one restaurant is a local favorite of ours so we use them there often. Sorry to hear the less favorable experiences of others on this site.
I use restaurant.com certificates every month at a local pizza place. I have for years. I have NEVER had a problem with this site or using the certificates.
I have purchased these multiple times and used them with no problem. My favorite Sushi place is always sold out though 🙁 My only advise is to be sure you read the details and disclosures before purchasing.
One time a place went out of business. But I was able to exchange the certificate super easy online. Love this site. Used several times on vacation.
