this is our daughter’s favorite booster seat (and ours since it will not be flying around the car in an accident when she’s not in the seat)!
oh and its $47.99 at target. com right now too just that color.
Thanks for sharing!
We have this for both kids in both cars and love it!! 👍
Awesome! Thanks for your review Laura!
Question… So if you use a target gift card and your target red card you will only get the 5% off on the portion that you actually paid with your red card, right?
Hi Laura. In my experience when you checkout at target.com using your red card the 5% will be taken off of the total regardless if you use gift cards too. In-store since the register takes the gift cards first and the red card last, the 5% (I believe) is only on the remaining balance after gift card, At least this is what I’ve noticed. HTH!
I am debating between this one, with latch, and one without latch. My son is 4.5 and 47 pounds. Not sure if he would need the one with latch.
I think the latch seats are generally more secure. Just depends if your car has the latch attachments.
The reason for the latch option is so that an unoccupied booster will not become a projectile in a crash. If you choose thr ine without latch then you should teach your child to buckle the booster in after they get out so nobody gets hurt when it goes flying.
It’s not if your kid needs it but if you want to leave it strapped in with a seat belt when unoccupied or not. Latch is to hold seat when unoccupied.
Also i would recommend checking out car seats for the littles on fb. 5 years old is the absolute minimum for a child to use a booster. Most kids arent ready for the responsibility of a booster seat until 6 or 7 years old.
Ditto Ashley – I prefer a 5pt harness for a while longer then 4yrs old for safety reasons. I know they are more work for us but the child is better protected god forbid.
aside from the unoccupied seat becoming projectile in a crash, the Latch is also handy for cars that have curved back seats (called bolsters). in my Elantra, the back seats aren’t flat they sort of curve toward the door. this makes the seat comfy for passengers but it can also affect car seat installation and cause boosters to actually tip over when turning corners/curves…a latching booster has taken away that problem. the Recaro booster we had is super plush and comfy but my daughter only wants it in my husband’s trailblazer cause it stays put there.
good luck!
A lil off topic, do any of you guys use anything to help the car seats indentations? We are getting a new SUV with leather seats I’m concerned that the car seats will leave permanent marks 🙁 any suggestions from my fellow h2s that would be great as always! TIA
We use the car seat pads under the car seats and it seems to help a lot!
Most carseat manufacturers only approve their brand seat protectors for use with their seats. Britax approves britax for example. Graco approves a thin towel or blanket. You should read your carseat manual to find out. Also i know leather needs to breathe so removing the carseats once a month or so helps.
car seat techs say any fabric that is not thicker than a light towel, will work and is still safe. the things sold as car seat pads have not been safety tested with the seats and can also be so slippery that they make it hard to install seat securely. good luck!
Thanks Collin! I’ve been waiting on this deal!
You’re welcome Nicole! Glad you can snag it today!
Hi guys.
Can anyone please verify the minimum weight in this car seat.
Amazon says 30lbs +
Target and also Walmart
Says 40lbs +
My daughter is 4.5 but very petit and only weighs 30lbs. She hates the 5point harness so I was hoping I can snatch this one. But only if it’s 30lbs up
Pia- according to Gracos website it’s 30 lbs+ in the high back mode & 40 lbs+ in the backless mode. As for height it’s 38″+ in the high back mode & 40″+ in the backless mode. Hope this helps! I also have a petite 4 year old!
To note: MOST CAR MANUFACTURERS recommend discontinuing use of LATCH when your child PLUS the weight of your seat is 65 lbs and up. For a Britax this means approx a 40 lb child. Worth looking into as well
Sarah,
LATCH weight limits do not apply to boosters since in this case, the lower anchors are just securing the booster to the vehicle to keep it from becoming a projectile when unoccupied. The seatbelt is actually protecting the child in this situation. Great job informing others of the LATCH limits. Lots of people still aren’t aware of that. =)

We love this seat. In fact we JUST bought 2. Does anyone have experience with price adjustments with on line purchases?
Target is showing $69.99
Rose, the Pierce color at target.com is $47.99. Hope that helps!
Rose, the special price is for the color ‘Pierce’ only. The link takes you to the seat, but you need to select the right color.
can anyone describe what the color Pierce actually is? from the pics, it looks possibly like a pink or a grey. Anyone with experience able to confirm?
Sold out 🙁
