Can you use the code with the free shipping when you buy 5 items as well?

    • Amy

Yep, I’ve done that before! Makes it a great deal!

      • Katie

        Yay awesome! Thanks!

I have also always done this before, used both the Free Shipping Promo and the 5.99 No Rush Credit. However, I just went to use it and could not get both credits on one order. The rep through the online chat said this credit says in the small print that it can only be used for free shipping. So you cannot use both the free shipping promo and the No Rush Credit on the same order. They then transferred me to the Prime Panty specials (on the phone) and he confirmed that but said he was shocked that was the case, because previously they could work together.

Please let me know if anyone else has this or a different experience. I loved using the promotions together. I am really bummed at this news? Has it worked for anyone?

Gaarrrggghhh go figure. I’ve been waiting for this for 2 weeks but decided not to wait any longer and ordered yesterday… 🙁

Yes you can combine with free shipping. The monthly free shipping items also change throughout the month so I check regularly. You can only use 1 no rush credit per order, but you can make multiple orders and you don’t have to fill your box up (just checkout at anytime). I make smaller orders to get the most of my credits. Today I placed an order for 12.49 (your total must be over $12 to get the no rush credit to work) and after codes it was 6 something.

    • Kim

That’s how I do it too!

Every time I’ve used it I’ve specifically ordered items from the monthly “order 5 and get free delivery” offer, so the $5.99 credit would come off the items instead of having to essentially pay for the delivery. Definitely makes for a great deal, especially if you also look for the items that have coupons. I just did 2 orders last night because I had 2 of those credits left and didn’t even realize it; Amazon emailed to tell me they were expiring soon.

  5. Brittany

I had some credits from Christmas. How do I check to see if there are still valid?

    • Cassandra

They may be expired already but the amazon chat csr can give you the expiration dates.

    • A

I believe the expire at the end of the month. They were supposed to expire end if January but I got an email that said they were extended until end of February

Ladies what is prime pantry? 🙂

    • Katie

It’s a box that you can fill with household items you can buy at stores. A lot of other things on Amazon you have to buy in bulk, but you can order grocery items individually with this.

  7. Sofia

I have one expiring tomorrow. Any suggestions on what to specifically buy to get the most bang out of my buck? Tia

I love Amazon and have been a prime member for years. But can someone explain why pantry is a good deal? Are the items priced cheaper? Is it cheaper than getting generic at the store? Thanks!

    • Dany

I have found good deals, like Clorox wipes for less than $2 or flavored bottled water for $2.99. There are also coupons you can “clip” and apply to order. I think Prime Pantry benefits more a busy person who needs certain items and can’t go shopping. Or possibly older people to order heavy items and have it delivered to your door. I normally only order when I have the credit noted here.

I think it’s a good deal when you can combine a free shipping promo and two of these $5.99 credits per order (a comment above said you can only one per order now so I guess that’s changed… :-(). I was able to do this multiple times and get name brand things (dish soap, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, etc.) For $6 shipped. Otherwise, in general, the prices are very similar to stores so, in my opinion, without any promos it’s not worth it to pay shipping unless you are going to fill your box completely, can’t make it to the store, or would spend just as much in the store anyway. Hope this helps.

Occasionally there is a good deal, but typically the deal comes from having codes/promos. I have only bothered ordering from Pantry when I had the free shipping promo and a credit; otherwise I get better deals by couponing at brick-and-mortar stores or through the occasional steal through Subscribe & Save. The Pantry prices are usually about the same as regular prices at stores, and occasionally like sale prices. Sometimes there are coupons you can click-to-apply, and that helps. But you have to pay to ship unless there is a promo, and I just am not willing to do that. I often take advantage of the no-rush shipping credits, though, through Prime, so I’ve had several of these $5.99 Pantry credits and have been able to get great deals using them. I’ve used them to buy things that are hard to get good deals on otherwise–like things that there aren’t often coupons for.

I’m not getting the offer for the pantry credit when my shipping details come up. Do I have to buy something that’s considered pantry?

    • Amanda

      I’m not either 😕

    • GA

You have to order something that is shipped and sold by Amazon (completely unrelated to prime pantry). Then the credit will show to select. Once that item ships, the credit will automatically apply when you order prime pantry items.

    • A

Order also has to be over $12 I believe

      • Cg

        Got it thank you!

  10. Sarakate25

Wondering what you all buy in the pantry boxes? I see the Clorox wand refills are better than Kroger prices!!

  11. M

Is there any way to check how many credits I have without having to talk/chat with CS?

    • Roxy

Normally, they send you an email when you get a free pantry code, so I would use the search function and look in your inbox and you might find the expiration date and maybe even a link to all the credits you have.

    • Holly

I’m new to prime pantry. What do you mean by credits?

  12. Brandi

Where do you find which items are included in the buy 5 get free shipping promo?
