(Thanks, Saving with Vetta!)
You can’t count the gift card twice. If you claim to get it for $16.70 shipped then the transaction that you use the gc’s on should include the amount of the gc :)! You can only claim that discount once.
And I’m not saying you’re claiming this but a lot of people think when they use the $20 in gc’s on a $20 purchase they’re getting that free. Hth!
I get what you’re saying. I’ve seen your scenario several times in reference to Kohl’s cash but I also agree that it’s all in how you do your accounting. I prefer to say I spent $36ish now and my future purchase is reduced. Much easier when I’m balancing my budget since my credit/debit match exactly.
I’m glad someone does!
I see what you’re saying but she isn’t counting the gift cards twice… it’s like cash back… at least that’s how many couponers look at it.
Right, I know that, but most people think they’re getting free stuff when they use the gc too. You can only claim the discount once. I look as it as spending what I spend oop, and then the transaction I use the gc on being discounted. It just all depends on how you do your accounting.
I guess what I’m getting at is that no one said what you’re saying… Collin is treating the gift cards like cash back to get her final total… she’s not counting them twice..
Right, I already said that, but I guarantee you most people consider the stuff free when they spend the gc too! It’s tyring to enlighten people! Hth!
And I know I should use spell check ;)!
She says you pay $36 and get back $20 in gc. Final cost is $16. Nowhere does she say our OOP cost.
If your final cost is $16 for this transaction, then you’ll need to add the price of the gc into the transaction that you spend it on for things to balance. For example, if you go to target tomorrow and spend $21 and use the $20 in gc’s on it and pay $1 oop, then for this logic to work you’ll have to say you paid $21 for it. For me, it just makes more sense to claim the discount when you use the gc rather than when you earn it. If you’re claiming it both times you’re actually not getting as good of a deal as you think, and the executives at target are laughing at you!
It actually doesn’t make sence to discount it when you use it because those items aren’t giving you the discount these cleaning products are…..and just bec it makes more sense for you this way doesn’t mean it’s that way for everyone so it’s a bit odd to start on the soap box not to count it twice when Colin didn’t just bec you feel people might
It’s not a soapbox. It’s math and accounting, and everyone I know considers a transaction they have used a gc on to be the discounted one. Anyways, as long as you are only counting the discount once you’re fine 😉 !
Lots of couponers, myself included, have gift cards on hand from other deals that we roll into other transactions. So it’s all in how you do it. ☺️
Thanks! I recently moved out and realized we needed cleaning supplies. My final cost after GCs is 16.05. I have to pick up the 2pk cleaner because it’s not available for shipping but I have a target down a couple blocks and it’s in stock there so it’s all good. 🙂
You’re welcome!
Is the gc promos also in store? Tia?
If it is, it would be a better deal in store with cartwheel.
Most of these aren’t on cartwheel but with coupons, yes. 🙂
Do I pay out $16.xx or am I paying $35.xx and getting $15 in gift cards afterwards?
You are paying $35 and getting $20 in gc
What would the in store deal look like for this??
So good. Thanks!.
You’re welcome!
Anyone else have trouble receiving their gift cards from the last methods cleaner promotion? Mine have been delayed 3x now! I got the first one right away, the other two are in limbo:/
There was a problem with mine last time so they just subtracting them from my total owed. Worked well for me 🙂
OMG COLLIN! Thank you so much! I just purchased 16 different cleaning items for 14.60. Love it!
Woohoo! What a great deal Maria! You’re so welcome! 😀
Jen!
Please check your order, if you have to Pick up in store, gc are send after order is picked up. While when order is been shipped you’ll get it right away.
I’ve already received all the products:/ they were all shipped.
I called customer service and they re-sent the one that I was still waiting for that was delayed. They were very nice about it.
If someone heads to the store today can you share if this is available in store as well? TYIA! 😊
It is
Awesome! TY! I’ve got some high values Qs from doctors (Lysol ect) AND from mailing companies. These will pair great w this! Thank you and Collin!! 💗
Will not let me ship to my house😞
Can you use additional coupons on these items? And if so, does the amount have to be $50 before coupons or after? Will you still get the GC’s if you use additional coupons?
Hi Rachael! You can use coupons in store, with the GC deal. Hand over your mobile or in ad GC coupon on a purchase of $50 or more and then hand over your manufacturer coupons. Hope that helps!
use your Target card!! Mine got down to $14.79 after the $20.00 in gift cards!!
Thanks for the awesome deal!!
Mine was $15.30 after my giftcards. I’m going to do another transaction later this week for other household essentials and apply my giftcards to bring it down to roughly $15. So I would have gotten $100 worth household items for $50. Not bad at all! Thanks for the tips Collin!
Shipping not available on almost all of these items.
What I do when gift cards, extrabucks etc are involved is I try to use as many as I’m earning in that transaction or if I don’t have them available I try to look at it as half because It’s making me use them to get “free” products later but it’s on something that I would have bought anyways if that makes sense
Whoops that was meant for the conversation at the very top
Can I get the same deal but in store as well to use coupons on the items to save more?
Looks like they restocked! I got 4 regular Windex, 4 Windex w/ vinegar, 4 Lysol bathroom cleaners, 4 Fantastiks, and a Scrubbing Bubbles Gel shipped for $35.61 and $20 back in gift cards. Sweet! Thanks!
I did this deal in store and got NO gift cards. Any idea why? Did the gift card part expire on Sunday?
FYI- There’s a Cartwheel for Clorox toilet cleaning products.
The gift card deal was not advertised in my store. I don’t know if that part is available in-store.
I checked my online status and it’s saying my 4 gift cards were cancelled. No idea why, but I guess I’ll call.
Is this deal working in stores until Saturday?
