The Target Checker says there are 4 at my local store, but when I called they said they took all of them off the shelf and they are in the back until next Christmas Season…Boo…

We went through SO many hoops to get this for Christmas for my daughter (& hubby lol!) Keep in mind once it’s put together it’s a monster- it’s at least 5ft wide so u will need plenty of space.

My target said they had 4, went there and they said “yes we have them in the back and cannot put them out until Sunday”, went to another Target, they went and got one out of the back and sold it to me for $26 🙂

I’ve had luck catching a floor employee and asking them to help me find it (I just give the DPCI; some have a nifty hand-held price checker/walkie-talkie thingy) and many times they’ll go to the back and get me one (or two). No one from customer service has ever offered more than saying “no longer in our inventory.” Um…different skill sets I guess.
My boys loved this for Christmas, but it’s huge!!! It doesn’t fold away, so make sure you have room 🙂

This is a great deal! We payed $80 for Christmas and I thought that was a great deal… As some of the other posters commented, it is big. I also want to add that if you want your child to be able to play with it right away, it does take some putting together. In addition to connecting pieces, there are a lot of decals. In hindsight, I would have put it together before gifting it under the Christmas tree.

Called my parents Target because no where around here in Ohio has ANY, and my parent’s Target in Florida has 4! The operator said I was the second person to call about it and my parents are on their way to get one now. My 4-year old son is going to LOSE HIS MIND when he gets this!! Is it just me that thinks most people mentioned there were 4 at their store is a bit ironic?!
No, most store do have 4 or less if they have any left. When I checked my zipcode using the dcpi on brickseek the stores that still had the car garage available showed 4 available.
I was able to get 2 from my target. Interestingly enough..my store also said they had 4 available
FYI My target said its only one per person… And it was hidden in the back because they said they don’t come out until next week… But I got one.

I got 2 yesterday at one target for $26 and I have another on hold at a different target. I just called to see if the one I still have on hold is $26 and it was! That’s in Minnesota so I think it varies by state?
I just bought 2 in Illinois for the $26 price.
i was told that my target would have 4 on floor today but I really doubt they would be on clearance price today… I really feel cheated.
Thanks for posting this! My son and husband can spend hours playing cars but we can never afford the cool sets like this. I found a Target on my commute that brick seek showed had 4. I called this morning and although I was on hold for a while the nice customer service girl got them out of the back and saved me one!

I had one on hold yesterday and picked it up today and the price is still 26.38
I was able to reserved 2, but when I show up and checking it out, the Customer Service refuse to honor the price that rang up as $26.38. They said it is a mistake on their system and they can’t sell it for that price. Although it’s okay for them to sell other items at 75% OFF, they can’t sell these at slightly less discount at a 73.6% discount. Target just lost themselve a customer. 🙂
