I was able to use points to pay for all of my order except $0.01 and still get the points back. I didn’t get them when I tried paying for all of it with points.
Because they are bonus points and not based off a % yes, you can use points to pay as long as you pay at least $0.01 oop (so when you apply your points, just apply 17980 instead of 17990) I also advise to screen shot your checkout page just in case

Off topic. Last 2 weeks I received a mail from Shop your way reward says that if I spend $20 I will get $20 of points back on sears /kamrt/shop your way…. I did a purchase on Kmart last week and after I paid I saw that I will receive $20 point. Then I ordered some more stuffs from sears and also saw that I will receive $20 in point. I did a screen shot as people suggested. But today when I login to my account I only saw $20 point back from sears order, not the other? Should I called the customer service? Will I get my point back? Did I do something wrong? Please advise. Thanks.
This happened to me 3x in a row. You just call Shop Your Way customer service and explain the situation and they should credit your account with any missing points.
