is hand sanitizer from dollar tree a good buy?

    • Anna

Personally I would buy a large store brand bottle from a different store, better bang for your buck.

    • Faith

I don’t know the size of the bottle in question, but unless it’s a 16oz+ it’s not a stock-up price for me, but it’s fine if you’re out. I’ve found big (10ish ounce) bottles of name brand hand sanitizer on clearance with coupons at Target and Walmart for less than $1 many times (both summer and back to school clearances), but if you need it it’s not a bad buy either. Bath and Body Works little bottles of fancy stuff can be under $1 on a regular basis with coupons…

    • t

Yes. They usually have bonus bottles which are 12 oz.

    • Beth

I’ve bought hand sanitizer from Dollar Tree before and it smelled HORRIBLE. Definitely buy Purell or a good scented one from Bath & Body Works!

  2. Marlene

Family dollar has adult coloring books for $1 too! I seen stores selling them for as much as $10! That’s outrageous!

  3. Carla

Great idea and awesome price but My mother n law would never go for a coloring book as a gift! I think she’d only want a case of beer.

    • Roxy

Haha, that’s funny. I’d have to agree, not everyone is into coloring.

    • Bridget

You might be surprised. My mother in law had a very minor stroke and was in rehab. She doesn’t read much and so I got her a coloring book, crayons and a sharpener. She has already finished the first book and is working on the second, and she is loving them. I think I’ll get her some more.

I love dollar tree. Our local dollar tree carries bread but, it’s gone in a matter of two days! So you have to get lucky. Also, I bought FOUR Colgate power kids toothbrushes normally around $4-5 each. I like to buy food there and test it out. You can get jenne O meats there hotdogs, sausage, and bacon! I also bought last time uncle bens rice!! I love finding name brand items for $1 it’s like a treasure hunt! Oh and benzac at ultra was over $13 I bought step 1 & 2 at dollar tree for a dollar thanks to you Collin and the other wonderful readers! Great video!

    I’m seeing the coloring books

  9. maflies1

At one Dollar Tree in another town I saw the page protectors one time, and have not been able to find them since. Asked my local store mngr to see if she could order them in and she said she has to order from a list and they were not on her list, but I could order them and have them shipped to the store without having to pay shipping. They did have not only the baseball card size, but also the dollar bill size (is what I call them)online, but I had to order what the min. quantity. I think my order was $25 or so, 10 in a pkg & 25 or 36 pkg., but compared to what I would have paid at an office supply store, I didn’t think that was bad.

Found it interesting that some of their minimum quantities were actually very low-not many, but for some crafts or gifts great prices.

    • l

I wonder if they can order in the sandpaper letters that they used to carry. Thanks for the idea!

  10. Carrie

These will be perfect for our teacher appreciation baskets! Thank you so much for sharing!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Carrie!

  11. Haseena

Thank you!!! My 5 year old saw one of my friend’s coloring book and fell in love. She has been wanting her own ever since. Will make a trip to my local store this week and I hope I can find them too.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hope you can snag one for her! YW!

  12. Vivienne

How many pages are in these coloring books?

    • Susie

The Dollar Tree adult coloring books are very thin.

    • Heather

According to the website they are 32 pages! What a great deal!

      • Susie

I actually purchased 4 of them. They are printed front and back, and numbered accordingly. As in, for every one page you flip, the front of it is numbered 1 & the back numbered 2.

  13. Katie

I think there are at least 20 pages to color. I purchased 30 of these, same brand and variations as shown above along with some double ended colored pencils from Hobby Lobby and handed them out at a board meeting (women’s group meeting) to everyone. They loved them!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for the feedback Katie!

  14. Jessica

I did see these the other day I also got some of that dream works instant oatmeal they had a bunch of boxes and there is a fifty cents off one box on coupons.com so fifty cents for a box of oatmeal!!

    • Tiffany

Same box of oatmeal at Walmart is $2.50

  15. Ang

I got some of these the other day and the paper and ink quality isn’t the best. Just for a warning. The paper was waxy when using Crayola crayons so I tried markers and it leaked onto the back side. The ink from the pages also ran on my hands a little and on the markers.

    • Bethany

Thanks. I’m super picky about paper quality because I use more expensive colored pencils and markers. A TON of mine were donated to the goodwill after one use because the paper quality was bad and the pages looked like crap as a result.

      • Kimberly

I thought my markers would bleed through so I passed on them. target has some $3 mandala ones I like in the dollar spot.

    • Danielle

I agree with the fact that they are of lower quality. Still can be fun at a much lower cost than usual. 🙂

My step mother loves Adult coloring.I have to get her some for mothers day. Thanks for the idea.

  17. 🌻CBNurse🌻

Thanks for posting! These are GREAT for my mental health patients!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re so welcome!

  18. Dorothy

I love coloring with my granddaughters! We usually color 5 days a week. We love coloring. I would love one of those coloring books. They are usually really expensive. I hope our Dollar Tree has them.

  19. Betty

I found Triaminic cold and cough day or night there today.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh cool! Great find Betty! Thanks for sharing!

  20. Natoli

    Something to make you laugh…..
I guess the world has a shortage of coloring pencils because of the striking interests of adult coloring books. 😂

  21. Urvi

Ours didn’t have any. But Michaels next door was running a $5 special on the adult coloring books. They were beautiful.
Picked up a few for kiddo to give to her besties. And one for me, of course! 😜

  22. Becca

I just bought a bunch of these this weekend! I finally found them at my dollar tree and was so excited!!! I bought one of each that they had!

  23. Mercedes

Awesome deal! A lot of studies have shown that coloring is therapeutic for adults and children!

  24. Angela

Please don’t let them tell you the regular pencil colors are not as good as the high dollar ones. And yes that’s why it’s a shortage of the pencil colors.
