Anyone know how these work with toys all over the floor? Can it be programmed to only work at certain groups times?
The Costco one comes with a virtual wall, which you can use to create an area for the roomba to avoid. The roomba will bump into toys pretty hard, so I move all of our toys into one corner before running roomba. Also, I have to move all of my kitchen chairs out otherwise it just keeps bumping into the legs and doesn’t clean under the table well. When I called customer service, they said that will happen when the chair legs are black because the roomba doesn’t “see”them well. Customer service sent me a free bumper to put on the roomba to cushion the blows a bit.
It will get clogged with small toys. We close the door to our toyroom but occasionally it will get a minifigure or some small toy stuck in it. When that happens, it stops and plays an alert. You could leave out larger toys or use the virtual wall to block it from certain areas. Love our roomba!
Does anyone know the difference, assuming the pet series picks up more fur, then the other one ?
I gave my sister this vac at xmas, she loves it. She schedules it to clean 3 times a week. I also have one and run mine everyday.
The vac will push items out of it way, but if the item is small (paper, paper clip, nail file) it will vac it up. My vac has stopped and told me something was clogging opening, but I have a 780 model. Don’t know about this model.

I love my Roomba, but it was a gift and I can’t see dropping this kind of cash on it myself. I like to have control over my vacuuming lol

I’ve read reviews talking about it scratching up hardwood floors. Has anyone had this experience with this particular model or another model?
