Oh cool! Thanks for sharing!
As much as I love Target gift cards and Catalina deals, I have always found that my Staples have better prices for trash bags …. Usually an 80-100pk box for $10; sometimes better with a coupon or promotion they may be running
Target has a box of Glad trash bags 120 ct for $11.xx. Those are the bags I use and I’ve never had a problem.
I hope this comment doesn’t offend anyone it is more me wondering if others feel the same. I have a hard time wrapping my head around things only being say $6 each after a gift card or extra bucks, rewards points etc. the originally opp cost are still high often. I see the titles and get excited only to click on a post and go oh well I still have to pay $17 opp. I miss the days about 5 years ago when couponing meant getting things for a dollar or two opp and stock up prices. I had to slow down with couponing because I found I was actually spending a lot more on things like trash bag deals for example vs just buying a box of Walmart store brand…
I do understand not wanting to spend a large amount out of pocket, but it all comes out the same in the end. I think the idea is that you do it once or twice and then save the gift card for your next purchase, thereby making that purchase have minimal to zero out of pocket cost. The stores build loyalty because you are going back to spend the gift card, but let’s face it, you probably were going to go back anyway for something else. They also have the hope that you will lose your gift card along the way and a percentage of them won’t ever get redeemed. That said, it would be much simpler for us as consumers to just lower the price!
I used to feel the same way, Brooke. This kind of deal works for me, because I shop at Target multiple times a week. I tend to avoid CVS deals, because ECB does not appeal to me at all. I rarely shop at CVS. I hope this helps.
I’ve found that office supply stores have them for less also sometimes. Office Depot/max have them on sale right now for Buy 2 get 1free for $10.49 so it comes to around$7.00 each and you can apply a coupon also for even better savings
What about Costco or BJ’s? Do they have better pricing for these bags? Does anyone know. Thanks.
