Ticketmaster Class Action Settlement & Sweeps: Possible Free Tickets + More (Check Account)

If you bought tickets from Ticketmaster’s website between October 21st, 1999 and February 27th, 2013, you may have free ticket vouchers or discount codes in your Ticketmaster account due to a Class Action Settlement regarding Order Processing Fees that were not properly refunded.
To see if you qualify, simply log in to your Ticketmaster account, go to “My Account” and then scroll down and click on “Active Vouchers” to find out if you have any offers in your account. To sign up to receive updates on when you can use the vouchers, head on over here. For full details, see here.

“I checked my husband’s and he had 17 codes for $2.25 off, 4 codes for $5 off UPS delivery of tickets, and 17 codes for 2 FREE general admission tickets to qualifying events (concerts, etc). The vouchers expire in 2020.”

Thanks! I have discount code and 2 general admin tix. Don’t expire unit 2020. There is a link in the voucher section that tells you the eligible events and guidelines. On the mobile site, I didn’t see the voucher section; however, on the full website, it was there. Fyi I initially got an error message when I went to the voucher section but refreshed and it came up.
I am unable to see the list of events for the vouchers. I see the link, but when I click the link it just reloads the same voucher page. Anyone have a working URL for the eligible events?
Stated on the website that the list is being established. Same thing happened to me and I went back and read and saw that. Sign up to be notified when events are added.

I got a free ticket code and a free discount code! My mom just said she wanted to go see Kenny Chesney, so I’m hoping he will be on the list! They just posted that they are finalizing what concerts the tickets can be used for, so make sure to check back periodically for the complete list!

how come the codes don’t work?
Had this on my calendar for a while…checked today and had 3 free ticket codes (good for 2 tickets each) and 3 ticket discounts–and this despite my best efforts to avoid Ticketmaster shows. Since this was from 1999-2013, you may want to check your older logins (email addresses) just in case!

I was thinking I would get at least a discount code, but I didn’t get anything on my current account nor on my older one. Maybe the venues in the places I have lived aren’t part of this?
Did you look in a section of your account called Active Vouchers? The voucher box has been crashing so I’d check again if you were a frequent user years ago.
Yeah, I checked, in both it says “There are no active vouchers for your account”
That’s so weird. I believe I only used ticket master once ever on my old account and I had a discount code plus 2 free tickets.

I got free ticket vouchers, but it says that they are first come, first serve tickets? And that the shows are still being decided. I hope Hip2save keeps us posted as this moves along. A free concert would be great! Looks like we’ll have to wait and see how all the fine print works out on this one.
From what I was told, the free ticket vouchers can only be used on Live Nation events at Live Nation venues, and for general admission only. Any concert venues where there isn’t general admission (assigned seats are not general admission) will not be eligible for this. Each eligible event will have a certain number of tickets available for purchase with voucher code. Once they are gone, no additional vouchers will be accepted for that concert. Lastly they are not transferable. When picking up tickets at will call or printing at home and bringing to the concert, you may be asked for photo ID. This is to prevent people from using vouchers to get free tickets and then selling them for profit.
Thanks for the info Rebecca. All of these restrictions are ok with me. I just hope I can snag a few tickets before vouchers are redeemed or events I like.

When I click on my account, all I see are my recent orders. I do not see anything about vouchers. I’ve bought dozens of tickets over the years. I’m looking from my iPhone. Do I need to check from my laptop?

People in NJ area, PNC in Holmdel on GSP will likely have available events. They have the GA lawn plus the majority are Live Nation. There was a problem last year with events and they sent everyone free voucher codes. I saw Kelly Clarkson, Barenaked Ladies and finally Fall Out Boy. The tickets normally cost $15 each so each voucher is a $30 coupon wooo.

Too bad free concert codes can’t be transferred. I get tons of free Vegas show tickets anyway and might not use these.

You can tell that my concert days were during the lawsuit’s time period. You could get a maximum of 17 codes for each category of code. I have 17 discounts and pairs of free tickets. I didn’t get any shipping codes but I always chose the free shipping method, so they didn’t overcharge me fees there. My codes expire in 2020, so I’m excited to see what I can go to the next few years. Between me and my friends, we shouldn’t have to pay for many tickets in the next few years since everything we want to see is usually at the Live Nation venues.
I’m wondering if it was just certain locations that got this, because I’ve order a good bit of tickets from them and nothing. 🙁 Anyone from Georgia get a free tickets or discount codes?

Sara, they are still working on the list. There’s a link in that voucher section, within the description of the free tickets, where you can find the list of eligible concerts. They haven’t finalized the list but it should be up in the next few weeks.
