Ticketmaster

UPDATE (6/21): Go here to view a list of eligible concerts for which the settlement ticket vouchers may be used. (Thanks, Morna and Gina!)

If you bought tickets from Ticketmaster’s website between October 21st, 1999 and February 27th, 2013, you may have free ticket vouchers or discount codes in your Ticketmaster account due to a Class Action Settlement regarding Order Processing Fees that were not properly refunded.

To see if you qualify, simply log in to your Ticketmaster account, go to “My Account” and then scroll down and click on “Active Vouchers” to find out if you have any offers in your account. To sign up to receive updates on when you can use the vouchers, head on over here. For full details, see here.

From reader Allison:

“I checked my husband’s and he had 17 codes for $2.25 off, 4 codes for $5 off UPS delivery of tickets, and 17 codes for 2 FREE general admission tickets to qualifying events (concerts, etc). The vouchers expire in 2020.”

darn didnt get even one v.v and i always use ticketmaster T.T

    • Brittany

Yeah I received the email saying to check and there is no active vouchers in my account. In 2010 alone I bought 20 sets of tickets from ticketmaster so in my mind at least it doesn’t make sense for me to have nothing. Maybe they haven’t sent them out to everyone yet. Fingers crossed we get something from them otherwise I will be very sad

  2. Moni B.

I recently received an email about the Ticketmaster Class Action lawsuit. Haven’t checked it out yet, but based on the comments posted here I’m getting excited about it!

  3. Gretch

    Awww, I didnt have any!

  4. Maureen Byrd

I have many free ticket vouchers but I can’t access the venues available … Has anyone else tried to find a concert to redeem the free tickets?

    • amy f

Note that these codes can be used only against eligible events, which are still being finalized. Excited to find out what this includes!

    • kim sloat

I could not access them either.

    • Diana Cruz

i have and cant find that darn list it keeps talking about…smh

  5. Elisa_nj

wow, I have a whole load of them! Thank you thank you!!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

  6. Melanie D

Thank you for posting, got 2 free!!

  7. Diana Cruz

i received 2 vouchers plus 2 discount vouchers but it says it has a list…well, that list is no where to be found on that website. Anyone know how to find it?

  8. Danielle

No Email from the but 2 free tickets in my account good thank you!!!!

  9. Susie

I’ve been reading about this on several blogs for weeks now. It seems people started noticing vouchers in their accounts early yesterday morning. Nobody can access the list of events you can actually use these for at this time. It also seems some got them, some didn’t and I’m not sure why. I didn’t have any and have routinely used ticketmaster for the last 20 years. I actually have three upcoming events in there right now so my ticketmaster usage is apparent. Odd. Congrats to those who got them!

  10. Megan

This post just made my day! I have 3 vouchers for 2 tickets each. Soooo excited. 🙂

Hoping a Hamilton tour comes to my area and qualifies. 😀

  11. sarah

I can’t find it from the mobile which is my only means of regular access

  12. sarah

I got 5 2.25 of tickets and 10 free tickets wow!

  13. Morna

I received the original email and had forgotten to check. Thank goodness for my carefree younger years!!!

  14. Sam

I got 17 $2.25 off and 17 free concert vouchers. My husband checked an old email account he used ages ago and had 12 free concert vouchers. It’s definitely a good idea to check old account! I’m not sure what they can be used on, though it says general admission and for us that means lawn seats for concerts :-(. Free is free though!

  15. Helainea

If anyone finds the list of “approved” events, can you share where we find them please? 🙂

  16. Martie Collum

I have alot of vouchers! Don’t know if I’ll get to use them all. A refund in one lump sum would have been nicer.

    • Valerie

If you can’t use the vouchers, can you share them with others? My email is momonthego@comcast.net.
Apparently, my account didn’t get any and we use Ticketmaster quite a bit.

      • Tina

There is a dispute form you can fill out if you feel that you should have earned codes

  17. Priscilla

I signed up for email to receive updates on list. I have 17 vouchers!

  18. Crystal

Thank you Hip2Save! I received 17 free ticket codes and 17 discount offer codes!!!!

  19. angela

Its weird I shop a lot on ticketmaster and have nothing. I got the email too

  20. April

Oh my!! 7 free discounts and 7 free ticket offers!! Thanks so much!! Now let’s see if I can get out of the house and use them. It’s hard to go out when you have 4 kiddos!! I’m guessing most of the purchases were pre kiddos:)

  21. Ashley

Thanks!! I had nothing, but I had my dad check his account and he had 13 free ticket vouchers and 12 2.25 off offers! We plan to share them this summer

  22. Natalie

Thank you for posting! I wouldn’t have checked my account even though I got the email. 17 free and 17 2.25 offs! Excited for the list to come out.

  23. K

I buy tickets from Ticketmaster a few times a year, every year… So I’m surprised that we only got a couple vouchers.. does anyone know what the criteria was? Just curious. I’m totally happy to have the vouchers, but I figured since I’ve bought so many tickets over the years that I would have more.

  24. Melanie D'Andrea

I got $20 worth of discounts for $2.25 each and 6 free general admission tix but cannot access the list of eligible events.

  25. Susan

I can log into my account but can’t get it to “load vouchers”. Repeatedly says they are “experiencing technical difficulties” and to “try again later”.

    • Patti

I’m still getting the ‘technical difficulites’ message today.

      • Brittney

I also get: “We are currently experiencing difficulties. Please check back again at a later time.”

  26. Bjksgk

Oh my gosh Collin thanks so much for posting about this! Had no idea, got no email from ticketmaster but had purchased so many concert/show tickets over the years that I had 17 free general admission vouchers & so many discount code vouchers I didn’t even count them 😊 I’ll be more than happy to wait for Ticketmaster to post a list of what we can use them for….

  27. Penny

What should I do? People are asking me to give them my vouchers. I don’t want to seem mean or greedy.. 🙁

    • Bambi

Well they are not transferable so you can always tell them that.

  28. mikeB

no events listed for me either……

  29. Dawn

    9. What if I think I did not get all the Discount Codes, UPS Discount Codes and/or Ticket Codes that I should have?

If, after accessing your Ticketmaster.com account and reviewing the number of Codes you received, you believe you may not have received all of the Codes you are entitled to receive, you may inform the Claims Administrator of the discrepancy using the form located here. Please note the dispute form will not be available on this Website until the Codes have been made available.

I found this in the FAQ’s section after I clicked the see full details here in Collin’s original post.
    Hope this helps!!

  30. Adrienne

I have 22 FREE TICKET VOUCHERS!!! We go to concerts all the time … Plus I have 2 teenagers/young adults who use my TM account often. Thank you so much for posting this, Collin!!!

  31. Jill

Thank you so much for posting this. My hubby has a TON in his voucher list and we NEVER would have known!

  32. Kristene

Its a class action suit. I would assume all that are getting vouchers registered to be a part of the class action suit and those not getting vouchers did not opt in to be included. That is how other class action suits work.

  33. Mary

@Kristene, I never signed up to be a member of the class action lawsuit, never even check the old email associated with my ticketmaster account, but logged in to find 16 sets of 2 free tickets each and about 17 of the $2.25 off vouchers… crazy!!

    • Kristene

yeah i guess it did not work that way. Because most of my vouchers where under an old email that does not even exist so no way I would have used that one. I read through it and you could opt out but I guess you never had to sign up. I went through emails too and don’t see anything in regards to a class action suit other than the email last month which I
missed that said it had been settled and to check the site on June 18.

It is crazy! I had one set under my current email but 12 sets under my old one.

  34. LauraL

I was a little too excited too soon. I think we have to wait a year to see if we GET to use the free vouchers. Here’s the wording from the settlement link:
“If Class Members do not use at least $42 million worth of codes, Ticketmaster has agreed to make free tickets for certain events available to Class Members on a first come, first served basis. Ticketmaster will make enough of the free tickets available to make up for the difference between the amount of discounts that are redeemed and $42 million. You will not have to wait four years to determine if any free tickets will be issued. Beginning a year after the Discount Codes are first issued, the parties will evaluate their redemption rates, and if less than $10.5 million a year in discounts have been redeemed, Ticketmaster will make free tickets available.”

    • Ashley

I think that is saying that they MUST give out at least $42 million, and if not enough people are using their codes, then they have to make some events free for everyone. But I’m not sure because I’m terrible at reading legal settlements and such.

    • Krisene Thompson

So is that saying if not enough discount codes are used after a year then they will issue free tickets? But if the discount codes are used than no free tickets. I am not understanding that but sounds sketchy

  35. Luckymeyay

I keep trying to enter the sweepstakes, but cannot find the form. What am I doing wrong?

  36. jessica

Yipee I have 12 free tickets and other codes too. Have to check my other emails too. Holy cow. Thank you Collin!!!

  37. slinquist4@aol.com

I received two tickets and two sets of $2.25 off of tickets. BUT I received them at 10:38 p.m on Friday, June 17, 2016, and they expired Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 12:00 p.m (noon). Well, needless to say they were worthless to me and what a joke. Not even worth my time. Won’t buy from there every again!

    • Ashley

That’s bizarre — all of mine expire in 2020…..

  38. Tina W

I got a screen that says I won a prize in the contest and they would send me an email but I’ve never received it. Also went to try and sign in under an old email that I’m pretty sure I still have a ticketmaster account and had to get the password reset option emailed to me. Never got that either. Anyone else running into this? I have checked spam folders and junk and there’s nothing there.

  39. Sarah

So we can only use the free tickets on the “eligible events”? There’s nothing on that website so do we need to be on the website 24/7 to get tickets??

  40. Geri

I have tried today and yesterday – cant get past the technical difficulties warning! Any ideas how to see if I have vouchers?

  41. Tina

Did anyone actually get a code to use? I have vouchers but the code itself is missing. Also, they are on a first come first served basis so even if you earned them you might not get to use them

  42. Tina

I read the fine print again, apparently the vouchers are “potentially” redeemable if customers redeem less than $10.5 million per year of the two other code they gave out for UPS and $2.25. Crazy confusing

  43. Kellissia

Anyone’s tickets disappear and only have the discount codes?

    • Ashley

Mine! I was really hoping to use them too.

      • vikky

my codes are gone today!!! NOOOOOOO

    • Lisa

Mine are gone today too!!!! I was just going to “brag” to my hubby that I actually got some and the free tickets are GONE! Only discount codes left today.

  44. Maya

My codes are gone too!! What’s going on??

  45. mikeB

mine disappeared also… ticketmaster scammed us again…

  46. Helen

I had one for two tickets the other day when I checked today I only have a $2.50 off code now…..

  47. Linnette Lozada

They took away my free 2 tickets and only left the 2.25 ones

  48. Jennifer Doane

    Mine disappeared.

  49. Mary

Yep, mine are gone too… wtf

  50. Amy

Mine are gone as well 🙁
