got a fire stick! Since we have Comcast we cannot stream HBO through the PS3 because Comcast stinks. Ha! This will be a great addition to our streaming abilities.
Can you get comcast cable shows on the fire stick? I can get them on my ipad but comcast won’t let me put them from my ipad onto my tv…thanks.

Yes, you can. We recently tried out PlayStation Vue streaming service and love it. So many more channels than Sling and a “DVR” function where you can save shows for 28 days. It has every channel we’ve been paying Dish $90 a month for, for only $30. Works with Fire streaming devices and just got Roku access too.

what is the difference in the fire stick and fire tv?
They both can watch tv from the same apps (Netflix, etc). The box is much faster when navigating menus and you can can have a wired Internet connection instead of wifi if you want.
I bought the Box cause I can plug in a LAN cable for the internet way more fast and stable connection than Wi-Fi, also The box has a micro SD card slot for more storage for example you can put a 64 GB Sd card and save stuff on it like movies or tv shows, my recomandation is to install Kodi YouTube it Kodi on Amazon fire TV Or stick
Roku are better ;). Fire sticks don’t have access to vudu 🙁

There are some newer apps that are not available through your DVD player such as sling TV or PlayStation Vue. If you wanted these then you would need a firestick or roku. They also allow people to access Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc. if they didn’t have a smart TV or DVD player. Hope that helps.

You can use an app called sling tv for $20 a month on the fire tv or Roku streaming stick. After a lot of research this morning we are going with Roku
