Looking to switch from At&t! $300+ dollars a month is way too much for our family plan.
    Thanks H2S!!

    • gabby

Ohhh wow i use to pay 260 3 lines with tmobile and now i pay 180 for 2 lines at att. In my area its congested and my internet never worked i would use 5gb out of unlimited and with att i use 50gb a month of unlimited for me tmobile is awful but theres no doubt they have the best customer service. Att is great for us but c/s is awful.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welcome!

Question: After the 2 years are up, is the bill going to go up? Also, anyone with T-Mobile, how do you like it? Worth switching??

    • Noreen Ali

Just called T Mobile. Price will stay same after 2 years. And this deal applies to current customers too.

Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with T-Mobile i.e. service, coverage, etc.?

    • Kelly

I am wondering the same thing. I’m moving to a rural area and needing a good signal.

      • Megan

Kelly, if you are moving to a rural area, I would check to see what others in the area are using. When we moved to our home 13 years ago, we had AT&T and could not get service from many rooms in our own house! My mom still doesn’t get service with AT&T when she visits. We found out Verizon has the best service for our area. Long story short, do some research and ask around!

        • caren8791

Wow! We have the same issue with opposite carrier. We have Verizon for as long I can remember, we moved to our 3 rd house and we have issue with our version network.horrible like one step outside the door connection is gone eve inside the house. But we tried my in laws phone ( AT$T) and it works wonder.

      • Tammy

I had T-Mobile for awhile but had to switch because I didn’t have a signal at work and my daughter didn’t have one at school. That was a several years ago; their coverage may be better now. I’m in northern Alabama.

        • Teemo

North Alabama here also. We just have the T-Mobile hotspot, 6 GB a month, for $35 a month. We have a tower 1/4 mile away so service is great. I haven’t had the T mobile phone service experience yet but its tempting…im rural as well btw…

          • Kelly

Thanks for your responses I’m in north Oklahoma. The signal isn’t great out there!

      • Laura

It has the worst services of any phone companies.Never get reception and I don’t even live in a area that is in a place that would be hard to get reception

    • T

I live in NY and I’ve had T-Mobile for 8 years+. The service works great here but I noticed when I traveled to say Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland.. the service was on and off. Maybe depends on your area? It’s also great that they offer T-Mobile Tuesdays! Their customer service is also pretty good.

    • Tiffany

T-mobile has great service on most major highways and in the city. Not great in the country.
BUT they offer wifi calling so if you’re a SAHM or work from home you can be connected to your wifi for perfect service.
If you travel a lot it’s most likely not gonna be great for you.
We have loved it even with occasional dropped calls while driving.

    • Jen D

I had tmobile for 8 years and was always really happy with the service I received from their staff and tech support teams. I switched to Verizon last year and have been really pleased with the coverage – it does seem a little better than tmobile but that depends on your geographic area. In AZ my tmobile service was perfect but when I moved to Dallas it was a little spotty and Verizon seemed a lot better there. So YMMV.

In November I switched from Verizon to Tmobile. I was paying $175 to Verizon for 2 plans with 700 minutes, 250 texts and with unlimited data. They were going to raise it I think $25 each line because we were grandfathered in on the data. We went to tmobile and got 4 lines unlimited text talk and data… My bill is $166 w taxes!!! Plus once you’re locked in on a plan they don’t raise it, however not sure with this one because it does say 2 years. My paperwork says no contracts and no increases *unless* I change the plan. I have my mom and niece with my plan so if one wants to leave I will keep the line open because it will be cheaper for me with the unlimited data. I don’t have issues with device except when driving in rural AZ, but used my plan in Mexico when we go and there’s no extra charges. I also get free data (I think only 2.5gb) for my iPad a month.

    • $avvy $am

Thanks for your input. Our bill for AT&T is never the same. Every month it changes, but is always $300+. We have 4 lines with 10GB family plan, unlimited talk & text. We never go over on our data, yet the bill is always outrageous. The reception is horrible in our house too! Will definetly consider switching!

      • Melissa Eggler

Same……I did call and they do say this is legit. I believe these phones are the “budget” ones like an Apple 5C. MY bill is $280 monthly with ATT and I can’t stand it anymore!!!

  6. Lisa

I love Tmobile. We switched years ago. We pay $120 for 5 lines and we haven’t had any coverage issues. Definitely check on coverage in your area. We also just went to Europe and we didn’t have to change our plan and could text each other and use wifi calling. I’m very happy and love the savings. We usually buy phones from amazon and so we aren’t locked into any plan.

  7. jspoon02

I’ve been with T-mo for more than a decade. I’ve never used another carrier bc I’ve always been happy! Service is great here in my little ol’ town in SC and my bill is super cheap with my grandfathered plan!

  8. Lynn

We switched from At&t to tmobile last year. The reception is definitely worse in our suburban area. I can’t call reliably from inside our house and there are more dead areas while I’m driving around. It did save us some money and we got data for all 4 lines.

  9. Des

We left t-mobile because they stopped doing contracts. We went to Verizon and they are ridiculous. And now t-mobile has contracts again???!!! Grrrrr.

    • Dany

No contract is better. You outright own your phone after you pay the full amount and have a lower monthly bill. I had Sprint on contract and my all in bill was twice what I pay now. Tmobile is 6 gb, free texts, free calls, free binge internet and radio, $50 a month.

If anyone switching to tmo add referral so you can get $25 gift card… hit me up at josue.perez.ochoa@gmail

  11. Allie

I want to do this deal, but can’t till August 11st. Will the deal still be available?

  12. Tara

My family switched from Verizon to T-mobile almost 2 years ago. We saved a ton of money and they bought out our Verizon contract. Service works on major highways and if I didn’t have wifi I would not get service at home. Most everyone has wifi now a days at home and work so it’s no issue. I must say the plus is I can stream music in my car with my Slacker radio app and no data is used and I drive over one hour to work and back so that to me makes it worth it. You can check with them and see if you can try out the service and if not happy return the phones and cancel the plan. Most of the time they will do that then you have nothing to lose.

  13. Moni B.

I’ve had T-Mobile for over 15 years and they are awesome! Service has improved greatly over the years, as they’ve built-up & expanded their network.

  14. Latkis78

We were just at T-Mobile Monday inquiring about switching from ATT. I was convinced to switch already & this deal came at the PERFECT time.

$160 for 4 lines, 10GB data per line, free Galaxy J7 per line (comes in the form of $10 credit each month to adjust payment plan) The 2yr contract really isn’t a contract. We can cancel at any time & just pay the remaining balance on the phones.

Sure beats what I had with ATT. I had been with them for 15 years. I live in a rural area & the only carriers with reliable service in my area is ATT & Tmobile.

Thank you Collin for posting this deal!!!

I’m in NE Ct and my husband travels throughout CT everyday for work. Tmobile offered a 2 week free trial about a year ago and he wanted to try a new Note phone before he bought it so he tried tmobiles phone and service for free. Needless to say, good thing he tried it because the service is very spotty in ct. I have Verizon and he uses straight talk through walmart, which uses Verizon lines. His $35/mo get him unlimited everything. After 2MB his data slows but it’s still unlimited and very rare for him to reach that much. With straight talk you have to buy your phone, a good one is around $100, or you can bring your own phone for a few bucks to convert. Wish tmobile worked better in ct.

Contract?! Wait, what? What happened to the Uncarrier and No Contracts?!
    ……………………………..
I do have T-mobile North American Family Plan on 2 lines for $80 @ month plus taxes.
Unlimited talk/text/Internet but only 2gb of 4gLTE before throttling down.
    ………………………………
Also, unlimited calling, texting TO Canada from USA. Plus my phone works IN Canada too. Unlimited texting while IN Canada. Phone showed roaming on a Canadian network while I was there, but no extra charges on my bill at all. Not even for roaming on data.
    ……………………………….
Not sure about any cost for phone calls while IN Canada but the Canada thing played an important part in choosing my carrier.

Does anyone know if T-Mobile pays the fees for switching like some other companies do? I am FED UP with Verizon but am still under contract on 2 of our 3 lines.

    • Angela Taylor

Yes they do! Im on the phone with Tmobile now….we are under contract with Verizon too and they are buying us out! We will save over $100 a month by switching!~ Goodbye Verizon!
