Happy Friday: Apple Camp Highlights
Sent from reader, Cheryl:
Thank-you for posting about the free Apple camp. I was able to sign up all 3 of my children for the iMovie course. They also received a free t-shirt (shown in picture) and a free cool wrist USB drive (on their wrist) with their completed movie made during the classes. The best part is they learned how to make movies and have been doing so ever since the class last week so it has continued to entertain and educate them even though it’s over. Thanks again!
HAPPY FRIDAY!

That’s a great camp idea – how cool!
My 12 year old did the iStory camp and we were equally impressed. Will definitely have to sign him up again next year.
I think the cut off is 12…he can’t and neither can my daughter.
Darn 🙁
I know! 🙁
How fun! I wish we lived close to an Apple Store….my oldest would have loved this!
Hi Collin, Yes, I want to also thank you for posting this information as my child was able to do the programming camp. Thank you! 😀
Awesome! You’re very welcome Rebecca!
Yes thank you posting this up. Was able to get one of my kids to the camp !
Happy to hear that Angie! You’re so welcome!
Yes, thank you! My son did the robotics camp that finished today. Although he left wanting to purchase a $130 sphero robot, it was an awesome week. Their staff kept the kids enthralled for each session!
LMAO…Jen – My son now wants the Apple TV and the Sphero Spark +. We already have an older model Sphero…
Ha ha ha. My boys also wanted me to purchase the Sphero Spark. If we didn’t already have something similar I totally would have. We enjoyed the programing camp as well as the other 2 camps in past years. Our Apple store staff rocks!
Awesome to hear how much he enjoyed it! You are SO welcome!
So glad to hear Apple is still doing their camps. My kids went to a garage band Apple camp like 12 years ago and loved it. What they learned kept them busy for weeks.
my kids were all signed up and they canceled it. do they only do these during the summer?
They only do them in the summer normally. I would talk to the store that canceled them to see if there was a reason specific to their location. Maybe they would do a make up?? They should have received the supplies from Corporate Office so maybe they could at least give you those???
Is this over?
All 4 of my kids got to go this year. They all had a great time. They did the iMovie camp a few weeks ago and the coding camp this week. Last year they did coding at the Microsoft store. Comparing the two, I enjoyed the Apple Store experience more. They told us what the kids were learning and specifically what apps they were using (so when my kids asked later I was prepared). But they also gave the parents the option to just chill in the store with a book. The Microsoft store was more like a sales pitch the entire time the kids were at camp.
My son did Microsoft’s last year too. Our store was completely opposite. They were fine with us leaving our cell phone and walking throughout the mall (like on day 2-3). Super friendly. Not one sales pitch. Out kids definitely enjoyed apple this year too though! Love all these camps!
My kids LOVED the coding and robots camp this week at Apple camp! Physics! Hooray! Thanks again, Collin and team, for posing about this … I never would have known about it were it not for all of your hard work!
