Office Depot/OfficeMax: $2 Off ANY Binder When You Recycle An Old One = FREE Binders
Are you in need of a new binder? Office Depot/OfficeMax is currently offering up $2 off any binder purchase when you bring in any brand of your old binder. With 1″ binders on sale for just $1 plus binders on clearance for as low as $2, you should be able to score FREE binders when you recycle an old one! Awesome!
Here’s what you need to do:
* Bring in your old binders to any Office Depot/OfficeMax store. You can bring in as many as you would like to recycle, but only 6 per day will count towards the promotion.
* After you finish shopping, simply take your old binders to the register along with the new binders you pick out to receive a $2 credit towards each binder recycled.
* Note that the recycling and purchase must be made in the same day and in one transaction and multipacks of binders count as one. The discount is applied only to purchased binders, and there is no cash back.
* Recycled binders must be empty upon turning in and the discount does not include tax.
Check out this email I received from Hip2Save reader Corinne:
“I found out today that if you bring in an old binder (up to 6) they will give you $2 off any new binder, including sale and clearance. That means free binders if you like the 1″ poly ones from the ad or good deals on others. I found ones on clearance (1in durable D ring with view) for $2.41 and so only $0.41 after the old binder. PLUS teachers get 20% off all supplies which made them free (they took the 20% before the $2.). Great deal!”
(Thanks, Corinne!)
I always collect old binders from my students at the end of the year for this. Went in this past spring with the binders and was told this was no longer a program at Office Max so I just recycled without the credit. Now wish I had waited!
I just came from there getting the school supply deals darn.Thanks.
How about staples
I would like do it there since it is a life time guarantee for better binders(staples brand)
Thanks
do you have to make a purchase with other items? or can you just walk in with an old binder and then walk out with a new one??
just curious if there were any restrictions on this….TIA
The details state: “Simply bring your old, empty binder/s to the register of any Office Depot or OfficeMax store to receive an instant $2 savings off your new binder purchased.” ๐
So if I bring in 6. I will get a credit of 12 to go to my new ones?
Yes. Details list that there is a limit of 6 discounts toward a new binder purchase per day per household, so that should work ๐
Does each $2 credit have to be used towards a separate binder, or can I use multiple combined credits to purchase 1 binder. I’m going to need to get a 3-inch binder and I know they are kind of pricey. I have a bunch of old binders hanging around, since my requirements that they look pristine aren’t as rigid, when they go down to 90% or 95% off, at the local Dirt Cheap.
I just went with 2 binders for …..which was 2.00 each credit….trying buying 4 binders they have on sale for 1….would not work…manager said 2 credit was per binder bought…purchased binder had to be 2 or more….and that the binder could not be the cheaper vinyl ones….even thro sign says any binder…..went back tried one cheapest i could find on clearance for 4, still did work until she asked for help again…finally took off 2
I was told one credit per binder…..
