I have this and love it! Only had the car carrier and base for 1st child and then bought stroller with 2nd child…wish I had purchased the stroller with 1st…makes it so much easier to transport baby.
Thanks so much for the feedback! Good to know!
OT, but I need a new Booster seat. Does anyone know when babies r us does the trade in event? Or can you get a better deal somewhere else? THX!
I just bought a great booster seat at TJ Maxx for $20!! Hit or miss but might be worth checking out.
Wow! Thx, worth a look!
I heard it is in September; probably will start the second or third weeks. 🙂
Thanks! Seems like new car seats should be a back to school thing – wanna put one in my husband’s car so he can help me shuffle them!
Love this deal! Thanks for sharing 😊
You’re welcome!
Just going to throw this out there (because I wish someone had told me this!). We purchased the elite version of this combo. The stroller is ah-mazing! LOVE LOVE LOVE the ease of it. However the car seat in my opinion was a waste of money. My 9lb (at birth) baby grew out of it by the time he was 4months old. His shoulders were too wide to fit comfortably. I WISH someone had suggested we purchase a nice convertible car seat and use that from the start. Yes it’s nice to be able to carry a sleeping baby inside the house in an infant seat or attach the seat to the stroller and roll them around, but it doesn’t help much if the baby grows out of it quickly. Once our baby grew to big for it I started hearing that this is a common issue with Britax seats. He was able to fit just fine in an infant chicco seat at age 7months when we flew across country and borrowed one from a friend – but like I said before the britax was too small for his shoulders by 4months. So word to the wise, if you have large babies or babies with broad shoulders, this may not be the combo for you. Purchase the stroller separately (because it is awesome!) if you can & find a different seat if you want one that will last 🙂
SAME problem! I have a BIG ol boy everywhere and his little, fat belly and broad shoulders knock the sides of his seat!
We purchased the Chicco infant seat for my oldest. She was able to be in it until she was about 18 months. It really depends on the kid. My kids are on the smaller side so we really were able to get our money’s with out of it. I LOVED having the infant seat. Little sister is using it now. Which is nice because it saved us from having to purchase another 300 dollar convertible seat for a while.
We got the Chico key fit 30, my 2 year old is 20 lbs and still fits in it. I hated the big bulky stroller though, but they make a light weight version n that has good reviews.
We have the previous b safe(2014) and my daughter, who is on the petite side, was able to use it to 15 months. She was always within the height and weight limit, I would have hated if we had to switch seats at 4 months.
Thanks for the helpful review Alese! Sorry to hear the car seat was a bit small, but super glad you liked the stroller so much!
I loved this system. Still able to use the stroller with 3 year old. Was able to run with the stroller although I found a “jogging stroller ” that was better for running. Used the stroller without the car seat early on by using the Britax head and body pillow (accessory). Also, we live on the water and no rusting / corrosion.
Glad to hear how well it has worked for you Raea! Thanks for sharing your experience!
