I have this and I’m a teacher. It works for my needs and would work well for the majority of my high school students unless they are carrying more than three large text books home each night. The straps are very comfortable even with a heavy load of stuff in it.
I got my son a North Face backpack for $29.99 at TJMaxx online (looks like they’re sold out now), but I saw them in stores at Marshalls as well. They are big enough for high school students.
