$1.50 for me! Sweet.
Awesome!
1.50 was my total. Yeah. This deal came in handy because today I was diagnosed with celiac disease.
Awww…so sorry to hear that! 🙁 Glad you were able to grab this deal to help!
You are going to be ok 🙂 I’m two years in and there are so many products available that you really can enjoy your favorite meals! I have three kids, I used to make separate meals, but they have gotten used to my substitutes and don’t even mind anymore. Good luck!
Thanks Maggie for sharing your story. Today I felt very overwhelmed but now I’m starting to figure things out. Would you share any website or blogs that were useful? Thanks
Oats are not truly gluten free. Wheat, barley, rye and oats are all bad. But your doctor will likly say they are fine.
Karina, when my daughter was finally diagnosed at age 17, I remember being overwhelmed as our family learned how to help her. To make it as easy as possible, we all went g free, which was a decision that we agreed upon after discussing as a family. This made cross-contamination and extra meal preparation non-issues. But the approach we took was not to find g free substitutes in most cases. Instead we tried to find a new normal; by that I mean that we focused on eating real foods that were naturally gluten free, rather than g free versions of what we used to eat. We got rid of the toaster and stopped eating bread, no longer ate crackers, cookies, cereals, etc. We ate lots of fresh produce, dairy (as tolerated) and fresh meat & eggs. And a few years later it was easy for us all to go grain & sugar free, as well. Those changes have helped her thrive. After many years of chronic nutrient deficiencies and stunted growth, she grew 3 inches in 8 months–as a college freshman! You will feel so much better as your body heals and you find what works best for you. If you’re interested you might search for Danielle Walker and for the gfjules website. They have similar stories but offer very different ways (that have worked for them!) to manage their celiac disease.
2.14 for me but I had amazon credit so got it free. thanks. stocking up on back to school snacks for the kids.
You’re welcome Barb!
