I cannot get my 4-year-old to like this app. He isn’t really much on any of the games we’ve found on it. I realize they are all learning games. But he wants to just play fun games. He’s just learning his letters so lots of the games are frustrating to him because he doesn’t know the answers. He does play the coloring pages. Any suggestions? Seems like there are lots of games on the site we probably haven’t found yet.
We used starfalls for both my boys. They enjoyed it while learning. Planning on using it for my dd when she’s old enough. Plus it’s completely free. We tried abcmouse as well and my boys lost interest very quickly.
I second Starfall.com
My kids both used it in K-2nd during school computer lab time.
How are you getting star fall for free? It said $35/year for me.
Try Duck Duck Moose. Awesome back story & all apps are 100% free. ABC Mouse was never a hit in my house.
For those with experience, what age do you recommend starting?
I used this for my kindergartener and she quickly lost interest. I would say it is targeted for the 3-4 age group.
Does anyone know if this can be used offline? Like car trips and such? We have internet at home so we can do updates but I’d like to keep the kiddos busy elsewhere. Thanks!
it has a stupid bubble popping game
that can be used offline, but everything it needs internet hth
Does anyone know, can this be played on an Amazon Fire tablet?
Yes on amazon fire
My 2 year old loves this app. It was a great purchase for us. She sings along to the songs and love the puzzles. She also has a hamster, cat and fish on the app that she loves watching, feeding, and cleaning. Completely worth it!
Aww, how cute! Glad to hear how much she enjoys the app Jennifer! Thanks for the great feedback!
I second my 2 year old loving this app. I have a lot of educational apps on my iPad and this is by far her favorite.
Sweet! Thanks for sharing Amy!
If you go through Swagbucks you get 300 Swagbucks for trying it out free for two weeks. There may be an incentive for keeping it!
Do you need an account for each child in the household?
You can register up to 3 children per account! π
Can this be used on renewals, or just new accounts?
How to sign up for this if I am currently half way through my free month?
Yes I second the above questions? How do I get it to renew at this price if I tried the first two months at $5 (back in July). Do I have to cancel? My son enjoys this and I’d like to renew for the year at this special price!
I signed up for the 2 month deal yesterday evening, since then my email has been flooded with spam from all sorts of randoms but many are adult related about erectile dysfunction and meeting singles of different ethnicities. By Googling, I see many others had the same problem. I don’t know how to fix it, they just keep coming. I’ve been seeing abcmouse commercials for almost 10 years on PBS and other kids channels. I’m shocked and disappointed.
