I have a stupid question. Is hulu for your tv or your phone? How does it work?
I think it’s like Netflix, can be on tv, tablets, and smartphones
Smart tv’s have it as an app or we have a bluray player that has it. Pretty sure you can watch it on your phone too. I’m wondering how easy it is to cancel or if anyone has had any problems cancelling??
Its easy to cancel. But I’ve enjoyed it so much thst for around $8 a month i reactivated my subscription. Definitely worth it.
What do you NEED to watch it on t.v.?
Apple TV, roku, smart tv – anything that can stream
Essentially you have to have a smart TV that can connect to wifi or a device (roku, Amazon firestick, Google Chromecast, etc) to beam it from a wifi enabled device (computer, phone, tablet) to the TV.
We bought a really inexpensive bluray play last year (I think it was $30) and use it for all the “smart TV” streaming functions on our not so smart TV. Amazon Video, Youtube, Netflix and Hulu all work through it.
How many can watch it (one household ) at a time? We have netflix and our plan can watch 3 different shows at a time.
There’s no limit – we have 3 TVs in our home plus my mom logs into our account at her house. Hulu normally gives you 30 days free to start anyway so don’t free pressured for an extra 15 days. I redeem my bing rewards for Hulu and get it free
From what I have read only one at a time.
Not so – I have Hulu
From my experience which we have Hulu with no commercials only one. It kicks my husband off of I’m watching it
I have the $7.99 plan – it doesn’t kick us off
This is what I read on Hulu, ”
Our license agreements for our content allow for one stream per account – so you can activate your Hulu subscription on as many devices as you please, but you can only stream to one of them at a time”
So it states you can only stream 1 device at a time.
Got it thanks. Me and the hubby were just saying we were going to try out Hulu since it’s only $8 a month. With 45 free days this is a great deal!
You’re welcome Christy! Enjoy!
Thank you guys for the help
Between Netflix and Hulu which would you say is better? Thanks for any feedback!
It’s a personal preference- sorry. My son loves loves Netflix, I prefer Hulu
I have both.
I still pay less than $20 a month for plenty of entertainment for my family. Plenty of shows for the kids, learning shows, etc
Even with both, much less than any satellite or cable
It depends on what mix of shows you prefer. Hulu has current seasons of shows, which is a main draw for me. Also, Hulu has Desperate Housewives which Netflix got rid of a long time ago. My fave :p
I’d say Hulu if you want current shows but there are some shows like longmire we love on Netflix
Thanks so much!!! I have been wanting to try Hulu!! I am so excited!!
You’re welcome Liz!
The new Ron Howard Beatles movie was released last week and is viewable exclusively on Hulu. I was considering getting a membership just for this purpose but now I can watch it for free! Thanks!!!
Oh awesome! YW!
I love Hulu but some of my shows are only on Netflix. Netflix allows multiple people to watch at a time, the kids shows are better.
Thanks so much for the honest review!!
Check American express card too…I had a reward to earn $25 when I spend $25 on hulu. That gives me 3 more months for “free”.
And earn $10 in points if you sign up through Plenti!
Can you do this offer with groupon and Plenti. Like get the free 45 days still but sign up with Plenti. Has anyone done this with Plenti? If so how long do you have to stay on this to get the 1000 points. Does it just have to be the first week or do you have to stay on it to get points?
Does anyone know if current seasons of the walking dead will show on Hulu? I’d love to get rid of cable but we’re hooked on that show. Thx! 😊😊
You can watch The Walking Dead on Sling tv ($20/month) or Pear Channel (5 tv channels for free) if you have a good internet plan.
Season 6 is on Hulu
What is the “limited commercial plan” vs no commercial plan?
We have the “no commercial” plan. You don’t see any commercial at all while watching your show.
Help! I just bought it..got a confirmation email but it won’t show up in my groupons??!!
Hmm, Maybe wait a moment and check again. If still having trouble, be sure to contact Groupon. It appears that you can Live Chat with them for assistance. Hope this helps!
I got on live chat after about a minute. Great customer service. I’m up and running on my TV and phone. Very easy to activate.
Yay! So happy they were able to help! Thanks for the update!
Thank you so much Collin – I was just going to sign up for a trial run of Hulu!
Perfect! You’re very welcome Michelle!
Oh man and we just signed up for hulu a few weeks ago! Would have loved an extension the usual free 7 day trial!
Anyone know if you can do this deal and do it with the Plenti points. How soon do you get Plenti points if you go through Plenti and can you cancel it after the 7 days and still get the 1000 points? Hope someone can help me please
