Cool! Glad you were able to grab them!
Thanks! I’m thinking of using some of these supplies to fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child!
You’re welcome! I love that idea!
Unfortunately now kids school list of supplies is outrageous. 8 glue sticks, 10 notebooks, 10 packs of crayons, etc… worst of all s that its also brand specific. I understand it’s for the entire school yr & to share, but it’s also unnecessary. Just my opinion, I know there’s probably teachers who will disagree.
Momo, contact your school board and ask them why they aren’t appropriating your student’s per pupil funding to cover books, crayons, paper and resources and materials for your student and the teacher. And remind them that you think it is absurd for teachers to buy supplies to run her classroom too.
Can you imagine if your boss at work made you buy your own pens, paper, computer, printer, ink and copier and bring it into your office to share?? Even staplers or staples, binders? Office furniture? It’s not the teacher’s fault. She probably makes 25-30k out of college compared to her peers getting hired at 60k and up with bachelors degrees.
Schools mismanage taxpayers dollars constantly and then charge parents for books, sports etc, and parents don’t ask questions and willingly do it. Nothing will change unless parents stop sending this stuff to school that schools should be providing. Look around your school building. You will find wasted money on technology, beautification, your principal’s office furniture, etc. they are Taking advantage. don’t play into it.!im completely fed up.
