Please don’t use those Betta tanks for long term. They’d be ok for a temporary party decoration! Betta fish need at least a 1 gallon tank, preferably heated and filtered. Otherwise they’ll die very quickly.

These tanks are terrible for Betta fish, and they should not be used for even a decoration. Betta fish need a five gallon tank minimum.

      • Cristen

My Betta is in a 5 gallon heated, filtered, planted tank. But I know that’s not always feasible for everyone. I’ve seen Bettas live for 3 years in a well maintained 1 gallon tank. And 3 hours in this tank (which is approximately .5 gallons) for a party would be ok, as long as the owner was committed to moving the fish to a more suitable environment afterward. Kind of a waste of money, though, IMO.

        • Hannah

“I’ve seen Betta fish live for three years in a one gallon tank”, Betta fish can live for 6-10 years given an appropriate environment. It will literally be suffering and stressed the entire time in that one gallon tank.

          • Cristen

You are misinformed. A Betta’s lifespan is 3-5 years with outliers of up to 7. But, regardless, we agree that these tanks are a bad idea. Nice deal on the other stuff, though! And not the website’s fault. They don’t make the products. They just sell them.

I was just going to say this! Please don’t use those cruel “tanks”
      !

      • Adriana

At the fair they give those fish in small clear plastic drinking cup containers with lids. There can’t be more than 8 oz of water in there and they live just fine in there.

Has anyone bought party supplies from Hollar? Are the plates good quality or are they comparable to like Dollar Tree? Thanks!

    • Adrian

Their party supplies are good quality. I ordered some for a Christmas party and they seem like they could be sold at dollar tree. I haven’t used them yet, but they look fantastic and feel like they would be durable enough. I signed up with another hip users link. Would appreciate if someone would use mine. They have some great stocking stuffers. You get a $2 credit and free shipping with your first purchase of at least $10. https://hollar.com/share/ac95e2

Anything people bought off here and loved?

    • Kristen

Oh! I should mention that I don’t have kiddos.

    • Jessica

I’ve bought their candles, dvds, digital movies, “As Seen On TV products”, makeup, and a few other things! Everything came just as described and perfectly packaged.. I think the best score is the as seen on tv products because sometimes they can be SO cheap.. so get them while you can! If you wanna use my link here it is https://api.hollar.com/share/8414b1

NOPE!! This place is really a rip off. OCCASIONALLY you can get a good deal but then you have to pay shipping. Most of the stuff they make a big deal about is the same quality from the dollar store. I’ve ordered Essie nail polish here for $2 before and that was the best deal, other than that, be careful. They’ll get you

If you have little ones be sure to check out the capes. I ordered some for my youngest son’s preschool and they were really nice and the kids loved them. I signed up with another hip users link. Would appreciate if someone would use mine. They have some great stocking stuffers. You get a $2 credit and free shipping with your first purchase of at least $10. https://hollar.com/share/ac95e2
