JMHO, but I don’t think you should include the cash back offers in the scenario itself, b/c that money is being refunded AFTER the purchase, so the OOP is not correct.

I came to express the same concern. You aren’t paying that lesser amount, you are getting it back in rebate form so you still have to come off of that cost upfront.

I agree the PAY amount should not include those rebates, since you do have to pay upfront for these and they are not always available after the purchase.
