Ya’ know… the fact that they stack these up in the aisles at HD means women will find a few of these under their Christmas tree this year!! LOL!

      Hahahahaha. Good point

You might be on to something Irene. LOL

That Magic Chef pressure cooker looks extremely similar to the Instant Pot. I’m going to purchase it and try it out, as I need a 2nd one.

  3. Ruthie

Thinking of buying this as I’ve wanted a pressure cooker for awhile. Did anyone already have one and do they like it?

    • Melissa

I was in home depot today for something else when I stumbled on these deals! lol… I got the pressure cooker and I’m completely impressed with it!!!! I’ve been using the pan on the stove kind for a few years and LOVE it but, wanted something “more” and I had a an electric pressure cooker on my Black Friday list, was going to get the one JCP is having on sale with mail in rebate well now I don’t have to wait to get my $21 back and I only paid $5 more for this one (no smart phone damnit!) The quality of this one and the features is WAY WAY way better than the JCP one! I gave it a wash and ran it through the test cycle and now I’m making my first batch of yogurt πŸ™‚ We’ll know tomorrow…but, so far so good I’m in LOVE! LOL hope this helps some of you make up your mind if you’re on the fence πŸ˜‰
In a NUTshell it’s easy to use, directions are very easy to follow, food tastes amazing pressure cooked, and I would buy this one again!

I don’t have this pressure cooker but the one I have I like. It came originally from QVC I believe but I purchased it from Fred’s at a really good deal. I can cook a whole roast in 50 minutes including the vegetables. I was scared of a pressure cooker for a long time but these electric ones are nothing like what our mothers had. Those were scary!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for sharing your experience Brenda!

Right now Home Depot is offering $25 off your first purchase if you open or reopen a Home Depot credit account. I was able to get the Magic Chef 7-1 cooker for an addition $30 off because they allow you to stack the $25 off with the $5 off of $50 text offer. Merry Christmas to me!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Great deal Stephanie!

Stephanie L, were they able to approve you for the credit card right then and there or do you get some thing in the mail saying you’ve been approved or not approved?

    • Stephanie L.

They can approve you right at the check out. I didn’t know this was going on right now, the cashier offered us this during check out.

I’m sold on an electric pressure cooker, but can someone give reviews on the Magic Chef 7-1 cooker vs. the Instant Pot? Are they similar? Magic Chef’s cooker is such a great deal at Home Depot and I’d like to get it if it’s comparable to the Instant Pot. Thanks for your help!

Same here! Does anyone have a side by side comparison of Magic Chef and IP ?
