Does anyone use food savers? We buy a lot of meat in bulk, and I’ve always wondered if these types of things are worth the cost and the reoccurring bag costs. Thanks!
Yes food savers are great. I get my rolls at Bed Bath and Beyond and use a 5/15 coupon.
So worth it! We buy in bulk and freeze the meat. My husband separates it out for us. It takes a little time but the bulk discount makes it worth it.
We have one and I use it all the time. We live in a remote area and buy in bulk often. I find the rolls to be more economical than the premade bags. The foodsaver website often has bogo free rolls. You can join their rewards program and get free bags and rolls too. Also, ziplock makes a similar bag that is a little cheaper. $43 is a great deal and you can use it to reseal chip bags and other packages to keep things fresh.
I really like our food saver. We have a Costco membership and buy the bags there as they occasionally have coupons for them in the monthly book

I know it’s been a while since this post was originally posted but thought I’d give an update. I got this deal when it was posted and submitted for the rebate. After waiting for almost 2 months for the rebate I decided to check the rebate status online. I found out that my rebate was invalid for the following reason : – Product was not purchased at authorized retailer even though I purchased it online at Kohl’s and Kohl’s had the rebate offer advertised. Just kind of bummed. Not sure if anyone else received their rebate for the food saver purchased at this same time.

I called and they asked me to resend the information. Mailed it last week, so we’ll see!
