Apple Stores: FREE Hour of Code Workshops (12/5-12/11)
Do you own an apple product?
Select Apple stores are going to be hosting FREE Hour of Code workshops between December 5th and 11th! Head here to find a workshop at an Apple store near you.
They will be offering the following workshops:
Explore the Fundamentals of Code: A Workshop for kids and parents with basic iPad skills and are new to coding will learn the basic concepts of code.
Write Your First Line of Code: Teaches kids to write code using the Swift Playgrounds app.
(Thanks, Free Stuff Times!)
FYI – it looks like the beginning coding class uses the website code.org. It is free and is amazing. I volunteer with a 2nd grade teacher who runs the coding club at our elementary school. We have 2nd through 4th graders doing it. Having coded in another lifetime, it amazes me that kids so young are learning the structures of coding.
Even if you don’t go to the workshop, check out the website. My 2nd grade daughter loves it and my kindergartener will start soon (but will need a little help with reading).
Thank you for posting. I am usually too late to grab spots for my kids but was able to register today!
Awesome! YW!
